NP Burbage was excellent. This was my first time seeing her and i was impressed with her care. The receptionist Vilma was a nightmare. She had difficulty understanding English. W h en she gave me the script for the x-ray she dShow moreid nit give me the Address for Northwell imaging. I called back when i got to the car and realuzed i didn't have it. She first sa8d she didn't know and when i persisted said she had to text someone. I came back upstairs and she gave me 765 Stewart Ave. Which is nyu imaging. I specifically asked for Northwell for easier access for my PCP and to have all imaging in one place. Very frustrating dealing with her. I am very patient and give everyone a chance but she does not belong at the front desk unless she gets further training.
NP Burbage is great. Her commentary and follow up manner is fantastic. She congratulated me on noticing that I have steadily and successfully reversed my pre-diabetes. Also encouraged me to keep it up, reminded to be diligent Show morein making better health choices along with my intermittent fasting plan. The other NPs are fantastic but NP Babage is a small tick above the rest.
Mary Alaina Burbage graduated with a Master of Science Nurse Practitioner degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Nursing from Georgetown University. She has been working in primary care as a family NP since 2016. Before that, she was an RN at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Her patient care philosophy is founded on the Jesuit ideal of cura personalis, caring for the whole person. She is passionate about primary care and the importance of preventative medicine to help keep you healthy. She originally went into nursing with dreams of working in Africa and has done several medical and community volunteer trips including to Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Peru, and Guatemala. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks with her family and adorable rescue dog Sasha, traveling, and yoga.
