Matthew Slawter, NP

Matthew Slawter is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Academy Nurse Credentialing Center, and licensed by the state of North Carolina to provide family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages.  His scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems beginning in childhood and contributing throughout the aging process. 

He began his career in healthcare in 2006 by working as an anesthesia technician for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Since that time, he has accumulated nearly eleven years of nursing experience and education in various areas of patient care (cardiothoracic intensive care, emergency medicine, and nurse practitioner).

Matthew has a unique combination of strong nursing skills and strives to provide the best healthcare possible.  He believes in building a long-lasting relationship with patients and customers.  He seeks to acquire a comprehensive evaluation of every patient by taking time to listen and understand their particular needs.  His true desire is to enhance a positive healing experience and confidence to those in need.
