The patron saint of gynecology: 20/5 stars. TLDR: LGBTQIA/Disability/EDS friendly OBGYN who believes in body autonomy has short wait times and actually cares about you and can handle complicated medical histories and problems. LoShow moreng story: I work in the healthcare field and the doctors I have worked with recommend premier obgyn as one of the several OBGYNs they like due to high quality care, bedside manner and detailed notes. I knew it was a good practice but I honestly was a little skeptical about all of the 5 star reviews for Dr. W at first and thought it had to be just people at the office rating him because who has this many reviews that are all 5 star. I was so so wrong. I have gone to 5 different OBGYNS in the past due to moving around a lot and have never had one like Dr. W. My other OBGYNs dismissed my symptoms and it felt like I was a chore to them when I would ask questions or want to discuss alternatives. Dr. W gets 20/5 stars for his active listening, answering so many questions, keeping up with my insanely complicated medical history, bed side manner, attention to detail, and believing in my body autonomy. He is not the type of doctor to dismiss symptoms and wont tell you that you have anxiety or just to lose weight when you have issues. I needed someone to cover my women’s health concerns that are complicated due to pre-existing disease. It was a total plus that he was game for helping me try and get a hysterectomy (insurance likely wont cover it for someone younger without certain medical issues), when I changed my mind for just a bi salp (tubes tied) he told me I did not have to convince him and that he would have sterilized me yesterday if he could have. I have had really bad anesthesia reactions in the past so he made sure I met with anesthesia before my surgery. He put more effort into knowing my extensive allergy list and anesthesia consult than my neurosurgeon and is working with me to prevent any anesthesia issues. My surgery had an awake intubation to keep the danger down. I honestly wish I would have scheduled with him to have this done years ago. I really respect him and feel so so lucky to have a doctor who does not do the paternalistic style of medicine and can handle all of my weird drug allergies and with my urogynecologist helps handle my complicated urogynecological issues from ehlers danlos. His medical assistant is really kind and the front desk people are too. He works on the maitland ave and alexandria blvd locations which are both great. I prefer the Alexandria blvd location as you don’t have to call prior to coming in as there are not as many patients in that location (due to only 2 doctors practicing there), the maitland location is great too but you have to call beforehand as they are taking covid precautions (so happy for this) to prevent their higher volume of patients from being at risk. I have recommended him to several of the AFAB people on a tubal ligation facebook group I am on who are in the 20-30’s who don’t have kids and they were blown away too. I spoke with the anesthesiologist during my pre op appointment 1 week before but he was on call doing a lung transplant during my surgery so I had Dr. Parisian and his RN Martin who was 3 months away from being a CRNA, Martin who came in and spoke with me for 30vminutes about an awake intubation & preventing complications while my mom was there with me pre surgery. We did a lidocaine nebulizer treatment, plus two swabs of viscous lidocaine in my throat and precedex which had no affect on me due to my high level of fatigue. We tried to do an intubation but my vocal chords spasmed so we did really light propofol. I did not wake up dead so I am very pleased. I had pain from co2 in my tummy from the laproscopic surgery and my shoulders may have subluxed due to EDS which is not their fault as his RN and assistant taylor padded me with towels to try to prevent this. I used my hard collar for my neck prior to surgery to prevent it being moved due to a fusion, I just washed with chlorhex first. I am very pleased with this experience and probably embarrassed Dr. W by bragging on him. Idc He's great.
Dr. Gibby is a nice person. She tell you all your options and let you make a choice. Having my uterus removed is not an option. I know a lot of doctors seems to be very pushy on you having your uterus removed so you can't have kidShow mores. But Dr. Gibby she understands when i said that was not an option for me. She's not one of those aggressive type of doctors to say oh you're gonna die if you don't have it done, she's not one of them. GOD gave me this temple for a reason and i'm gonna keep everybody part on me until the Good Lord himself says otherwise! We all have choices in Life to make and we should understand one another when its time for us to make our own life decisions. Dr. Gibby is great and i will continue to allow her to be my OBGYN. I prayed about it and i felt i made a great decision.

Love going to see Dr. Wollenschlaeger. He's a great listener and always answers all my questions!
He listens and cares! Dr. Wollenschlaeger took the time to make sure that I understood everything about my hysterectomy, and he always made sure I left with all my questions answered.
Dr.W answered all my questions and spent the time needed to address my issue and make a referral.
Doctor W is informed and smart, but he also has a gift of being very personable as in he kind of feels like you're talking to a friend. I felt like he was super open minded was just there to help me do whatever path I wanted to take that's not common so I'm thankful.
Dr. Wollenschlaeger is always such an awesome doctor to visit with. He is super professional yet cool and laid back so the visits always feel easy breezy and relaxing. I’m never afraid or hesitant to ask questions or bounce things off of him and always feel very at ease.
My experience was wonderful, it was my first visit and the entire office made my visit great. Thanks to all the staff.
He explained everything clearly. He was kind and caring.
Dr. Wollenschlaeger is great❣️He listens and doesn’t rush the appointment. Always ask if there is anything else and returns phone calls promptly.
The menopause transition impacts some of us greatly and finding a doctor who understands and is truly willing to listen and to help isn't easy. I'm glad I found Dr. W and would recommend this practice.
Dr W was very compassionate and thorough from the beginning of my pregnancy and throughout the birth of my son. I’m grateful he delivered my baby and for those that need someone that will listen, be supportive, as well as explain the process- then I would highly recommend Dr W (Even the staff at Advent Health spoke great comments about him!!)
Knowledgeable and nice
The best Dr. He delivered my son and he genuinely cares about you. You aren’t just another patient
What a wonderful experience. The doctor was beyond amazing. I’ve never been able to simply ask for what I wanted without having the doctor question my choices. My annual appointment has never been so quick and comfortable. The front desk lady was also so sweet. Highly recommend ❤️

Dr.W is amazing! I appreciate how down to earth he is. I am able to understand everything that he tells me regarding my visit and/or results and I never leave questioning anything. During a visit he explains every step that will occur no matter how many times you have been there.
It has taken me SO long to find a GYN that would listen to me and Dr.W was absolutely amazing and I will from now on recommend this practice to anyone.
