Mckenzie Yerkes

McKenzie moved to Asheville to pursue her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant studies at South College. Prior to living in the mountains, she lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health degree from Tulane University and worked in an interventional pain management practice.

McKenzie’s background in public health shaped her passion for disease prevention, health education, and helping patients make sustainable changes that improve their overall well-being. She strives to empower patients with the knowledge and confidence to take an active role in their health.

Outside of the office, McKenzie enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her cat. She loves exploring the outdoors through paddle boarding, golfing, and hiking, along with reading, needlepointing, and exploring new restaurants (with gluten-free options).
