I have always trusted the clinic and all the staff I have seen several of the doctors and all have been great . I saw Dr Shatby about an injury to calf muscle He was out of my network but chose the Dr and the clinic because of pShow morerior experience Was a great choice he listen and gave me personal attention He wasn’t typing on a computer and treating me like I wasn’t in the room The personal connection and care given by Dr Shatby and his staff were fantastic from beginning at check in to my return visit to get the cast replaced Nothing but professional attentive service Thank you so much to you and all your staff
Great. My only question is why s that X-ray, or whatever scan (wooden box) so high off the ground? (A foot at least) I can’t use my left arm (broken clavicle) and my right foot needed imaging. No way to hoist myself up that far. MShow morey engineering husband says it has to be off the ground, but wouldn’t six inches have worked? The poor imaging tech had to lift me up on that tall box. He was great, but I can’t be the only one who can’t get up there.
Meena Shatby, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Shatby has extensive training in sports medicine and trauma. He’s fellowship-trained in managing lower extremities with a focus on knee, ankle, foot, and other sports injuries.
Dr. Shatby attended Clear Lake High School in Houston, Texas. He graduated at the top of his class summa cum laude with undergraduate degrees in electrical and biomedical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and earned a place as an engineering scholar.
After nurturing a passion for medicine, Dr. Shatby earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. There, he received multiple awards, including Outstanding Student in Orthopedic Surgery and Outstanding Academic Achievement. Dr. Shatby completed an internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he developed an interest in trauma, sports medicine, and reconstructive orthopedics.
His interest in ambulation pathology and gait led him to a prestigious fellowship in foot and ankle. It encompassed sports and knee disorders at Union Memorial Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore, Maryland. After completing this training, Dr. Shatby returned to The Woodlands to practice his passion – orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Shatby served as vice chairman of the Medical Board of Managers at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands and the Orthopedic Surgery and Peer Review Committee. He was a member of the Medical Board of Managers at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway and the Medical Executive Committee. He’s on the medical staff at St. Luke’s Community Medical Center of The Woodlands.
He uses advanced, innovative methods of nonoperative and conservative treatment. If surgical management is necessary, he offers proven, minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Shatby understands that education and early prevention are key components of effective healing. He has received multiple awards, including Patient’s Choice Award, Compassionate Doctor Award, and Texas Favorite Physician.

I saw Dr. Shatby several years ago for foot surgery. Yesterday, I went to him, due to no relief from peptide shots recommended by another practice. Without going into details, Dr. Shatby is the best. Dr Sharma is caring, and attentive. He takes time to really listen to everything I say and then addresses every question and concern that I have. Great Doctor
I was very pleased with Dr. Shatby and his staff. I have been going to the Woodlands Sports Medical Centre since Dr. Cannon founded this centre in 1985. I have always been treated with respect by all of the staff. The equipment is up to date, checking in is easy, my concerns have always been listened to and I have always been satisfied by the doctors answers and recommendations to fix my health issues. Dr. Shatby was very informative in diagnosing and explaining my foot problems. He advised me on options to take. He suggested some insoles for my shoes. He was very professional and very helpful.

I signed in to one office (suite 290) and sat for 45 minutes. When I checked on how much longer, they said I was in the wrong office and needed to be at suite 280. Not professional of that office. Doctor was great! His nurse was great.
