Megan Pawlowski-Barrett, PA-C, knew that dermatology was her passion from the start. She has used her board certification as a physician associate to focus on skin health since the beginning of her career. Today, she brings that focused knowledge to patients through her work at Dermatology Associates of Central NJ in Union, Old Bridge, and Freehold, New Jersey.
Megan completed both her undergraduate degree in physician associate studies and her master's of science in advanced physician associate studies at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. Knowing that dermatology would be her professional passion, she went through multiple dermatology and surgical specialty clinical rotations to deepen her knowledge.
Megan actively participates in both the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates. She brings her wealth of knowledge to a wide geographic area — Pawlowski-Barrett is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York.

PA Barrett did not provide a comfortable experience for me. I’ve been coming to this office for many years and have always seen PA Claudia Najar who is amazing, takes her time and makes me feel comfortable. PA Barrett did the complete opposite. I feel like she barely examined my body (had a full body cancer screening). She skimmed my body for maybe 1 minute in total. My entire body was completely exposed as she was examining me, when she finished she asked me if I had any questions but I couldn’t even speak b/c my gown was completely ripped and my body was fully exposed leaving me feel very uncomfortable to even get my questions out of my mouth. With Claudia, I felt the “care” b/c she took her time, was very gentle, made sure my body was covered at all times and actually listened to me without rushing me out. With PA Barrett I felt the complete opposite and will NEVER recommend her to anyone.

Professional and competent
Very professionally ran office. The doctors are super nice. I know what they’re talking about.
I went to the office to talk about treatment options with her since my other PA was on maturity leave. She was not understanding that I am terrified of needles and getting bloodwork 4 times a year would not be realistic for me. By the end of the time with her she stormed out the room and did not send a nurse or have anyone walk me out or tell me what I was talking like normal. I sat there for a while waiting. She took me off everything my previous pa put me on and did not even tell me so when I was calling about my refill on my Winlevi it was not even in the system. Just because something is realistic to one person does not mean it’s realistic for everyone. Needless to say are one of my largest fears and she made me feel little and dumb for that.
