Merna was born in Egypt and raised in Queens, New York. She is fluent in both English and Arabic. She completed her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at the City University of New York Queens College. Post-graduation, she worked as a medical assistant at Brooks Dermatology while applying to PA school. It is here that she developed a passion for dermatology. She then earned dual degrees including a Bachelor’s in Health Science and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University. While in PA school, Merna gained advanced healthcare training in her clinical rotations throughout the NYC boroughs. During her free time, she frequently enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and friends, and watching Broadway shows.

Dr Merna is professional. Patient and very caring. I have been to other dermatologist that will never be as good as her. She is great with children. My grandson loves her. She walks you through every step. There is minimal wait time maybe 5 minutes. I recommend her highly to anyone.
