Michael Barnes is fantabulous!! I’m never disappointed after my appts with him!! He always listens without rushing you or interrupting to say your time is up!! I’m so glad I found A Healthy Brain Psychiatry. After going through several doctors I am finally comfortable and most importantly healing.
I had never seen a doctor over video before. I was leary at first, but ended up being pleasantly surprised with how well it went. Michael was very professional and knowledgeable about lots of things. Side effects of medications, medication dosage, etc. He also allowed me to take part in decisions that were made in my treatment plan and discussed the best options with me. I would recommend seeing him for treatment of any mental health issues you're struggling with and medication management.
While the traditional psychiatric prescriber may be viewed as inflexible, authoritarian, and inaccessible, Mike Barnes is none of these. I have found him to be accessible, flexible, and open-minded. I so appreciate the excellent quality of care that I have received in the short time I have known Mike. Mike Barnes is one of the few prescribers who actually takes a whole hour for a first appointment. He asks in-depth questions to get a more complete medical picture. He is a good listener and puts the patient at the center.
