Dr. Michael Calfee, MD

Michael Calfee, MD, is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). He works closely with patients at Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, located in Union City and Dyersburg, Tennessee. 

​In 1991, Dr. Calfee earned a bachelor's degree in biology and religious studies from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. In 1995, he graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He completed his residency and his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Cambell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Dr. Calfee specializes in total joint replacement, industrial injuries, and sports medicine.

He is active in international mission work, performing hip and knee replacements to underserved patients in 3rd world countries. 

He is a staff surgeon at Baptist Memorial Hospital and the Union City Surgery Center in Union City, Tennessee.

Dr. Calfee is a member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Tennessee Medical Association.
