Visit by Dr. Dans was a little dismissive and I found it to not be thorough. Mole check was extremely superficial. Lady at the front desk was rude at times, and did not respect what I had kindly asked her not to do. She wanted to Show morewrite down all my credit card numbers while I had asked her not to do it. Dr Dans on a similar note was actually questioning why I was there in the first place, as if I did not have enough valid concerns to be there. This was before asking me what problems I had. He was like "why are you here, you shouldn't be here etc". I regret being referred to this doctor. I doubt I will be coming back.
As always, the person at the front desk was friendly, smiling, polite, and engaging. I was about 15 minutes early for my appointment but had to wait just a few minutes to be directed into an exam room, where another staff member pShow moreolitely asked, and wrote notes about my answers to, questions related to any current dermatological needs or issues. Then just a few minutes later Dr. Dans came into the room, offered a friendly greeting, briefly reviewed my chart, and began his typically thorough exam. I had a quesstion about the efficacy of a commercial scar cream, and Dr. Dans gave me his frank opinion. This is how I believe any doctor's visit should be well conducted.

Dr. Dans received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at the University of California, Davis before earning his combined MD/PhD degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. As an expert in his field, Dr. Dans has published numerous scientific and medical articles and book chapters about skin diseases and treatments. Very good doctor
An Excellent Doctor who Is easy to speak with and always has a solution to address the topic of concern. Plus, he does a general review to make sure there are no skin problems elsewhere. He is fully engaged, always up to date on the latest research, and ready to offer the most appropriate treatment.
Dr Dans is totally professional and thorough, his staff members Terri and Nancy are the best!

Dr. Dans strikes me as a very intelligent, thoughtful, capable guy. He explained what was going on for me in very clear, straightforward terms and -- though I wish things were different! -- I completely trust and believe in his assessment of my situation. Dr Dan’s, Terri, and Victoria were all friendly and professional. My first appointment was right on time and the whole admission process was effortless. The office is conveniently located in Union Square and the waiting room was comfortable and clean. Dr Dan’s bedside manner was spot on and I really felt like he took the time to listen to my concerns and offered me several treatment options. I would highly recommend his practice.

Dr. Dans was very professional and kind. He explained how to use the medication and how to keep my skin more hydrated. I appreciated his guidance.

I trust Dr Dans completely. My skin is sensitive and Botox, if used, must be used sparingly. He is one of the few Dermatologists that noted, understands, and always tells me what is best for my skin.

I just didn't feel like I was heard. The doctor didn't have great bedside manners, reached general conclusions and interrupted me before I finished speaking. I recognize that problem solving skin issues can be more an art than science but I left feeling uncared for and frustrated.
