I’ve had DVT in my right leg previously so I was very concerned about recent swelling. I got an ultrasound at emergency room that confirmed the DVT has not returned but the edema was significant and I was concerned it might be aShow more symptom of something serious so I called Dr Maloy and said I needed to come in. He saw me same day and after a few Q&A that revealed I’d been working in the heat almost daily (I’m 68 yrs old) doing some pretty significant manual labor, he diagnosed insufficient electrolytes and sent me to the drug store for some over the counter electrolyte powders and said I’d be fine. I’ve taken a few days off and am drinking 16oz of electrolyte solution every morning and I swear my legs are shrinking back to normal and I feel less fatigue in my extremities. Wasn’t a big deal but I didn’t know that till I saw Dr Maloy and I’m very relieved. He’s a great doc, there when you need him and listens when you need him to. I have lots of confidence in the care and advice he gives. Please share this feedback w Dr Maloy. I’m back on the job today!

I’m greeted immediately by a professional office staff member and guided to an exam room. After a brief Show morewait the doctor or NP join you and talk about the reason for your visit without making you feel rushed. This must be a great place to work because everyone seems happy to be there. must be a great place to woreveryone seems to be happy. I pass several medical offices on my drive to Sigma

Education has always been a central focus for Dr. Maloy. He began his studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning his undergraduate degree in biology. He remained at UT San Antonio to complete his medical degree from the School of Medicine.
Dr. Maloy completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Regional Academic Health Center in Harlingen, Texas, where he then served as an assistant professor of medicine.
He continues to seek out opportunities to expand his skills and knowledge through ongoing education.
Dr. Maloy founded Sigma Primary Care in 2016. Over the years, the practice has become an invaluable resource to patients in the Central Texas region. They appreciate how the team takes time to get to know them and their unique set of health needs and goals.

Dr Maloy has always been a caring physician, listening and understanding my ailments and finding the best way to overcome them. He knows my preference on not using too much medication as I am on different medication already. I appreciate him tremendously.
Well I told both the PA and receptionist that I use the Walgreens at Hebner and Northwest Military . Some how my meds were sent to Walgreens at Hebner and Vance Jackson. This was not correct. Please correct this.

I am truly grateful for Dr. Maloy. He hears me, educates me, and encourages me to reach a higher potential in health and mental health.
