I've been a patientn of this practice for more than 15 years now. I believe I am very happy with my doctor no complaint whatsoever, the staff was very nice, very polite, very helpful. I will not change my doctor. Not even if my iShow morensurance do not accept , I will do my best to pay for my constitution out of packet.Thank you , doctor negrey for taking good care of my eyes, whatever they believe is, may the Lord bless them until he goes old like his father and retired.

Michael Negrey, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment of corneal diseases, cataracts, and refractive surgery at Negrey Eye Associates in Havertown and Media, Pennsylvania. Dr. Negrey specializes in tissue-sparing corneal transplants, cataract surgery, and laser vision correction. In addition, he provides comprehensive eye exams to patients of all ages.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University, graduating cum laude in 1995. Prior to medical school, he spent a year investigating cancer treatments at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Institute in Philadelphia. He completed medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (formerly Jefferson Medical College) in Philadelphia in 2000, where he won the Carroll B. Mullen Award for Excellency in Ophthalmology. He interned at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. In 2015, he graduated from the Pennsylvania Medical Society Physician Leadership Program.
He then trained in ophthalmology at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital. There, he assisted in the revision and update of the “Imaging in Ophthalmology” chapter for the Wills Eye Manual 4th edition, which is used by eye care providers throughout the country. After his residency, Dr. Negrey completed a one-year fellowship in refractive surgery, cornea and external disease at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Following his fellowship, he was an associate ophthalmologist for five years at a busy surgical eye practice in New England, performing cataract, corneal, and refractive surgeries.
Dr. Negrey is committed to staying up to date with the latest innovations in ophthalmology and the medical community. He is an active participant in the Wills Eye Residency Program, proctoring residents in cataract surgery and seeing patients in the primary eye care service. Since 2013, he has been an active board member of the Delaware County Medical Society, whose mission is to advocate for physicians and the needs of their patients. Dr. Negrey has also been recognized by his peers as a “Top Doc” in Main Line Today since 2012.
Dr. Negrey and his family reside in Wayne, Pennsylvania. On the weekends, Dr. Negrey and his family often can be found at the Haverford reserve enjoying the playground or playing soccer at a local pick-up game. When he has the chance, Dr. Negrey also devotes his time to charitable programs, having run in the Philadelphia, Boston, and Chicago marathons to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

From the front office reception area, the adjoining optician’s area, the sweet lady who does the preliminary tests, eye drops, etc, and the back office billing and appointments people everyone is kind, patient, and very helpful. Office staff are very nice. Nila, in particular, was great. She’s so nice and she explains everything thoroughly. Dr Negrey is patient, listens, and informative!

The office was extremely professional. I was impressed with the amount of time that Dr Negrey spent with me in reference to the issues that I was having with my eyes. He had one of his assistants make an appointment with another professional I have to see. I have been going to this office for years and have always been satisfied..
The support staff as well as the medical staff members are very personable and professional. No time was wasted waiting needlessly. The office is cheerful and clean with tasteful artwork adding a classic colorful touch to the comfortable surrounding.
