Michael N. Newton MD is a pulmonologist and a sleep disorder specialist serving the community of Tampa, Florida. Dr. Newton takes a comprehensive approach to patient care, and utilizes an integrative approach in his treatment of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, and restless leg syndrome.
Dr. Newton is a graduate of Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, where he earned his medical degree. Following his graduation, he completed his residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Ohio. He completed his Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine fellowship at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa.
He is certified in critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Great experience with this office. I love the fact that Dr. Newton reviews his prior notes and picks up from information from my prior visits so I don’t have to repeat my history. The technician who did my PFT was also excellent, very patient, and personable. Happy I chose this pulmonologist for my continued care.
Knowledgeable , personal interest , did sleep test with them and it was easy to follow, right at home , got the results right away which were explained to me thoroughly . Front desk was friendly and helpful

I am an eighty year old man and have been a patient of many doctors. Dr. Newton is on the top of the list. He takes as much time as necessary to touch all bases. The entire staff is a ten on a one to ten scale. If you are looking for a great doctor and office team, I highly recommend them. I was hospitalized last year and doctor Newton or Denise visited me daily, sometimes both came. You won't be disappointed!

I went out of my way to see this provider due to the quality of reviews, but my experience was abysmal. My first appointment I had a wait time of 2 hours. My second appointment was for a sleep study and I was provided a device that did not work and had to schedule a second sleep study. I arrived to pick up the device for my second sleep study as scheduled and was informed that they did not have a device available and I would have to come back again, without a call to inform me of the issue. Needless to say, I will not be returning.
