10.10. 2022 With much appreciation, I write this review to Dr Schwartz and his staff! Dr. Schwartz is truly outstanding! I felt welcomed, cared for, and fully at ease the minute I walked through the doors of the Madison SurgerShow morey Center this morning. Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Frank (Anesthesiologist) went above and beyond to ensure that my health and well-being were a top concern. Dr. Schwartz is an extraordinarily knowledgeable and engaging professional. And whenever I needed to contact him or his assistants, Cristina, Diana, and Alyssa, they responded to my queries with lightning speed. Truly, I would recommend Dr. Schwartz and his entire staff to anyone seeking answers to better their health and do so in a very personalized way. My family and I hoped for assistance after finally being diagnosed with Lipedema eight months ago. We have been astounded by the help we have gotten, particularly in navigating the complex world with health insurance. I cannot thank Diana enough. I have struggled with my weight for years. In particular my legs and the stubborn fat I just could never lose no matter how much I tried. I did everything, from diet to workout regimes and none of them helped. I watched other womeShow moren around me and just thought that’s it - I’m never going to have legs like that. But then I started doing research and found the work of Dr Michael Schwartz and everything changed. All of a sudden I wasn’t abnormal, I wasn’t the only girl with legs that couldn’t fit into cute outfits. There was a name for what I had, a reason for my pain, both physical and emotional. The cause was Lipedema. With the love and support of my family, I finally made the step to have surgery. My first Vaser Liposuction was on the front of my legs. That was only a little over a month ago but already I am a new person. I can feel it physically in my legs but perhaps more importantly, mentally I feel like I have changed. The stigma and negativity I felt about my body for 20 plus years is over. I’m looking forward to a brighter tomorrow where I love myself and my new body. Dr Schwartz made that possible. From listening in the early stages, to being incredibly skilled during the procedure, through to being amazingly involved in my after care - he has helped me find myself again. I still have a long way to go. As I’ve only had one of a few surgeries I expect to have, but I know I have nothing but brighter days to look forward to with Dr Schwartz by my side. After earning a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, Dr. Schwartz received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He then completed a two-year residency in internal medicine at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. He went on to complete a five-year fellowship in otolaryngology, head, and neck surgery at USC.
Dr. Schwartz was one of the first cosmetic surgeons to study and perform the tumescent technique of liposuction and liposculpture in Los Angeles in the 1990s, and was also a pioneer of the SmartlipoⓇ laser. He has continued to complete advanced training in VASER Hi-Def Liposuction, as well as cosmetic procedures such as breast surgery and cutting-edge techniques for abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) procedures.
Dr. Schwartz is a diplomate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and holds membership in numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. From first contact, I was pleased with the speed and efficiency of this office. Cristina took my information/pics and scheduled an office visit very quickly. Dr Michael Schwartz was kind and patient. He listened to all my concerns and helped me understand that my pain and discomfort was from lipedema and Ehlers- danlos syndrome. Talked to me about a treatment plan with surgeries and what to expect. I have full confidence in his skills and that he can help me to move forward in regaining my mobility and life back. Highly suggest that you consult with him if you feel you have lipedema.

Dr. Schwartz is kind, attentive, caring , and super knowledgeable. There’s a lot of plastic surgeons between Rancho Cucamonga ( where I reside), and Pasadena (his office), but I chose to drive to see him because he’s worth the drive.

Dr Schwartz is awesome. So is his staff. I have my full Lipedema surgical with him (4) and even thought he is technically out of my network insurance wise, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. If you’re in CA and overwhelmed with Lipedema, reach out to Dr Schwartz’s office. You won’t regret it.
I recently had my liposuction done for my Lipedema with Dr. Schwartz and can’t be thankful enough. I would never trust anybody else than Dr. Schwartz to do my surgeries and can’t wait to do the rest. Dr. Schwartz is very humble and listens very patiently to my questions and tries to address my concerns truly. Also, his office staffs are amazing! Christina goes above and beyond to explain everything and she treats patients like family. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Schwartz has an outstanding reputation for doing great work. That was most important to me. Compared to others I know his services are more expensive, but I care most about the end result. The only feedback I have is offering more information about aftercare and what to expect in advance. I had to ask for this information and I was told that is normally given to the person who leaves with the patient after work is performed. Realistically however, I wanted to know what to expect and how to prepare in advance. The same was true with the peel I had, I did not receive any information and could have done a better job caring for my skin. Dr. Schwartz is amazing, I feel I got the best that I could get, and he has an excellent demeanor. Thank you to him and his team.
