Started a springfield medical. Horrible.then Clarkston medical with Dr Patel . After 6 days of waiting for x ray results he never got them .. so he sent me to Dr. Milana Turner , she was awesome right from the start.... Had her stShow moreaff do x ray of my left foot . They also were awesome... Dr Turner looked at x rays and order an MRI Stat.... Got MRI back and she told my the bad news ... I torn the tendon on the out side of my left foot... I knew I was broken..... After weeks of casting. And more x rays said I was getting there couple more weeks in a cast and then PT... A little of a month went back in to see Dr Turner. Said I was doing great. Everything looks good, suggested some more PT which I will state next week.. after that if no pain and foot feels good ,I was good to go back to work... Thank You Dr. Turner you are the best !!!!! I would and will highly recommend, Dr Turner to friends and family.. and anyone I here need Ortho care or surgery... She is the best of the best....... I arrived early, do to road construction every where, they got me in within minutes. Dr. Tuner came in 15 minutes (or so) later. Very, very nice & pleasant person!! Took care of business. Asked if I had any other questions/concerShow morens. AT NO TIME, did she rush me, or make me feel uncomfortable. One more thing, the ENTIRE staff were/are super friendly
Dr. Milana Turner, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric surgeon who provides skilled foot and ankle care at Oakland Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Clarkston, Michigan.
Dr. Turner treats foot pain, ankle pain, and injuries both conservatively and surgically. She is an expert and extremely passionate about diabetic limb salvage and wound care. She treats both painful and cosmetic foot deformities, sports injuries, and general and diabetic foot problems using a wide range of traditional and cutting-edge techniques and protocols.
Dr. Turner advocates nonsurgical care whenever possible but is fully prepared to perform any surgical repair necessary to provide the patient with a successful result.
Dr. Turner graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, Michigan, and then earned her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois.
She went on to complete her surgical residency at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Her residency training focused on the reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot surgery.
Alongside her podiatry practice at Oakland Orthopedic Institute, Dr. Turner currently serves on the hospital and teaching staff at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital, and McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. Additionally, she is on staff at Sparrow Wound and Hyperbaric Clinic in Lansing, Michigan.
Dr. Turner was born in Riga, Latvia, and grew up in Michigan. She speaks both Russian and English fluently. During her downtime, she loves to cheer on the Spartans, travel, play tennis, and spend time with her family and friends.

Experience was good.
Very good orthopedic surgeon, she took her own x-rays to make sure that it wasn't just one toe but two that were broken. Fixed me up with a boot, set up a 4-week visit. Very kind and thorough.

After many months of frustration & my husbands foot not getting better, we decided to get a second opinion. We were referred by a family friend who happens to also be a Family Physician. It was a bit of a drive for us but it was worth it. We love Dr Turners straight forward no nonsense approach while also exhibiting a wonderful bed side manner. We never once felt like a number or leaving feeling like we didn;t have a game plan in place. She also made it a priority to follow through with us with phone calls directly from her. Highly recommend

Dr. Turner provided and explained my options very clearly and provided next steps to help correct my situation that can result in a decrease in pain and to avoid surgery. Dr. turner is my 2nd opinion and was able to diagnose the cause of my pain, why it’s occurring and next steps to try and correct it. I highly recommend Dr. Turner to diagnose any issues you are experiencing in her field of work.
