From the moment I walked into the Dr waiting room, I had a feeling it was going to be a very positive experience. filling out the paperwork part of the appointment was not overwhelming, and the assistants were friendly and efficiShow moreent. Dr Sanghavi was amazing in every way. She was very friendly, personable, took the time to really ask a lot of questions about my medical history and family history, didn’t make me feel like she was rushing through as most doctors make me feel, very knowledgeable about all the medications I take, plus told me about medical testing and results regarding some of the medications I take, pros and cons about a couple of topics, and took interest in any questions I asked, but they were few because the doctor covered everything so well! I left the doctors office literally saying to myself it was the best doctors visit I had ever had, because of all the reasons I just listed. I’m so happy I found this doctor and I have a feeling I will be seeing her and trusting her for many years to come! Thank you for giving me a little faith in the health / medicine field!

Dr Moushumi Sanghavi truly listened to what I had to say, and took all of my problems seriously and with an open mind. Her bedside manner is like none I’ve experienced in NYC, and you never feel rushed during your appointment. When I came in extremely sick, she had the flexibility to schedule me for an endoscopy on the same day and once I woke up from anesthesia, she even went over my results and plan of action, all on the SAME day! I owe my overall quality of life improving thanks to her. When I had another major issue, she squeezed me in for an appointment. The team truly values your health and well being here. There is no one I would trust with my care in NYC!
Moushumi Sanghavi, MD, is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. At Gastroenterology on Gramercy Park in New York City, she treats all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disease, but she has a special interest in irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. She is also a partner of East Side Endoscopy, a nearby state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical center. Dr. Sanghavi is one of a few female gastroenterologists in New York City, and she has considerable experience treating diseases predominantly affecting women. She performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures and noninvasively treats internal hemorrhoids with infrared coagulation and endoscopic banding. Dr. Sanghavi received her bachelor of arts degree from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She went on to complete her fellowship in gastroenterology training at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She is affiliated with Mt. Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. Dr. Sanghavi speaks English and Spanish.

Dr. Moushumi Sanghavi was amazing. I was really nervous about scheduling my first colonoscopy and she talked me through the whole thing, what to expect, options for sedation (including no sedation!) and just really put me at ease. The front desk staff were also super kind and helpful. I’m going to recommend it to my husband and anyone I know in future !

I have been seeing Dr. Moushumi Sanghavi for over 10 years now, that in itself speaks volumes. I love the office, I love the service, the wait time is always swift and short. The Doctor always takes her time to explain everything in detail and answer all questions, always pleasant. She never rushes and always treats with care. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
