I like the doctor, the problem is with his financial department and procedure per se: 1. The information provided to patients state that there is a 72 hrs previous to the procedure to reschedule/cancel, but the billing coordinatorShow more only provides the patient’s financial responsibility for the doctor only, leaving it to the patient to individually contact all of the other parties, i.e., hospital, anesthesiologist, etc., to obtain the rest of the financial obligations charges, including information about if in/out of network participation. Obviously, there is not enough time to do all this work on time for the 72 hours window allowed. As an example, I did not receive the hospital information until less than 48 hours previous to the procedure, after escalating the request to its Manager. 2- The preparation for the procedure required me to stay awake until around 3:00 AM, and showing up at the hospital by 6:00 AM, for the scheduled 7:30 AM procedure. From a previous experience, including other two family members, it was not necessary to stay awake almost the whole night before. I believe there may be other preparations for the procedure that are more easy on the patient. Please, consider above experience and try to make adjustments to them, as possible taking into consideration improvements to your patients wellbeing.
The front desk was helpful and the young lady that took me to my room to take my vital signs was absolutely sweet and made me feel at ease because I was very nervous with this being my 1st time having to talk someone about this viShow moresit. Good attention and professionalism.
Dr. Murtaza Arif seemed to be an excellent Doctor, and has an excellent bedside manner. He explained what procedures I may need to undergo. The only problem I have is that he is not affiliated with Houston Methodist so I may have to cancel my scheduled Colonoscopy.

Really great doctor, he took his time to listen and gave me a clear understanding of what to expect. The only thing I wasn’t fond of is that they do not use Houston Methodist as a colonoscopy place, instead they use Memorial Herman and I have not had a good experience with them so I don’t want to go there.
