Therapy, at its best, is less about being fixed and more about being understood — and from that understanding, finding more room to move. That's the kind of space Mya works to create: warm, collaborative, and genuinely attuned to who each person is and what they're carrying.

Mya is a clinical therapist with a master's degree from the University of Denver. She works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the often-difficult work of self-exploration — including clients who are asking, for the first time, what they actually want their lives to look like. Her approach draws on cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and psychodynamic theory, held within a relational and trauma-informed framework. She works flexibly, adapting her approach to fit the person rather than the other way around.

A background in advocacy, client support, and research informs Mya's particular commitment to body image and weight stigma — areas where she brings both clinical skill and a social justice perspective. She helps clients examine their relationship with their bodies and their sense of self-worth, working against the internalized pressure of cultural norms toward something more honest and self-compassionate.

Mya meets people where they are — not where she thinks they should be — and her work reflects a genuine belief that meaningful change is possible when someone feels truly seen.
