Dr. Myriam Sterlin is a double-board-certified internal medicine and infectious disease physician at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, who sees patients at the West Orange, Maplewood, and South Orange offices.
Dr. Sterlin studied at Université d'État d'Haïti, Faculté de Médecine et de Pharmacie in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, earning her medical degree. After graduation, she completed two internal medicine residencies: the first at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and the second at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), both in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Sterlin also completed an infectious disease fellowship at UMDNJ.
Dr. Sterlin diagnoses and treats acute and chronic health problems, but she has a special interest in allied illnesses and infectious diseases. Dr. Sterlin is especially knowledgeable in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Dr. Sterlin is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She’s also a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) and the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad.

Dr N. Kaur, my primary doctor, for only 6 months have earned my trust and confidence . She is exceptionally kind, very accomodating and clearly explains everything to me. Excellent care provider! He takes his time to explain everything to the patient from diagnosis, medications and follow up. Dr Elnakib is my podiatrist because of the way he treated my mom. Despite the language barrier, he tried his best to involve my mom in the conversation. He really provides Patient-centered care. Keep up the good work!
