Nancy Garfield, LCSW

Nancy graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina where she also earned Master Degrees in Social Work and Public Administration. She is currently licensed and Board Certified as a Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.) in the state of Georgia. She has been in private practice at Northwest Behavioral Medicine since 2001.

Currently, Nancy also works as the Managing Director for Psychsource, a nonprofit organization which is developing the only fully comprehensive database of resources in local communities for mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities. Her goal, along with Medical Director, Michael Banov, M.D., is to expand the database nationwide to see that persons needing mental health help are able to easily and quickly navigate what can be a confusing and fragmented system.
