My PCP referred me to cardio, but while I was waiting to hear from the office to schedule I had a terrifying cardiac event. I called the next morning and got transferred to Dr Pillai since he had sooner openings. I spoke with his Show moreassistant Delisa who was amazing and got me in same day after hearing my symptoms. I had difficulty finding the right office but once there the front desk associate was the SWEETEST. She made me feel very comfortable. Delia is performed my work up and EKG and was very pleasant. I then saw the NP who was so thorough. I was scared and emotional and she took time to reassure me and was great with my son who was with me in the room. Dr Pillai was also very thorough and comforting. I didn’t once feel judged or rushed, and everyone listened to my opinion on what was going on.
The follow up visit was basically handled by the nurse practitioner. Although she was professional and somewhat thorough, she was not familiar with my background or up to date with my medical history with the cardiologist. The docShow moretor came into the room halfway through the visit and we went on to discuss weight control options which included bariatric surgery and steps needed prior to such surgery. In my opinion, I need to be better informed of the pros & cons of these steps needed, the surgery and long term effects. He verbally gave me the name of a surgeon. I would have appreciated a more formal approach to initial contact with a prospective surgeon. He left the room prior to the end of my visit with the practitioner and subsequent date of a follow up to a follow up visit. What's the game plan besides me being proactive with my own research ?
Narayn Pillai, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified Cardiologist at Advanced Cardiovascular Consultants in West Palm Beach, Florida. He has a special interest in coronary and peripheral vascular disease.
Dr. Pillai received his MD from The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) medical school in India.
He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, now called UMass Chan Medical School, in Worcester, Massachusetts, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio.
Dr. Pillai spent three years in academics teaching residents and cardiology fellows before moving to private practice and was involved in clinical research at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) and the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Pillai has published his work in numerous scientific journals.
He completed a dedicated Vascular Fellowship at the Prairie Vascular Institute and expanded his peripheral arterial and venous disease expertise.
Dr. Pillai is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a designated Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). He holds additional certification as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).
He is dedicated to saving lives in emergent and non-emergent situations through complex interventions and appreciates the opportunity to care for people in their most vulnerable moments. He strives to provide the best care for his patients by staying up-to-date and engaging patients in their management.

Dr Pillai is very professional and knowledgeable He presented my test results in a positive manner and answered my questions.

Dr. Pillai , his nurse practitioner and medical assistant are wonderful. He is the first cardiologist ever seen so get a little nervous but staff is very friendly and helpful. All my questions were answered and left the office wuth a great piece of mind and best of all The treatment he recommended is working wonders. Thank you Dr. Pillai. Highly recommended.

Dr. Pillai did not concentrate on my specific problem and prescribed me the wrong prescription
I had a very constructive experience with Dr Pillai. He sat down with me and we discussed my health history and current status at length. I didn't feel rushed at all. It was a very pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend Dr Pillai.

Friendly people and clean office. Dr had to reschedule ( due to illness?) result was at least five auto phone calls. Three in person calls and a series of texts to notify and rearrange appointment. Too much contact.

Dr. Pillai is great, he takes the time to listen and always gives me the best course of action needed to take better care of myself. I'm so happy I was referred to him and his staff is great, they always have a warm smile and are willing to help out when asked to assist with patient matters.
