I had done laproscopic salpingectomy with Dr. Nguyen. What to say she's the best doctor I have visited sofar. Very knowledgeable and efficient. Patiently answers all questions in detail Everytime. The surgery was very smooth. It'sShow more been more than two weeks post surgery...I am totally recovered... I have not faced any issues. Very glad that I chose Dr. Nguyen. The front desk staffs are very kind and helpful and gets back to you when you need them. The whole team is awesome. Initially when I saw 5 star reviews in google I thought it's not real may be... Nedra Rice, MD, FACOG, is an OB/GYN at Contemporary Women’s Care in Plano, Texas. Dr. Rice is passionate about women’s health issues and places significant value on patient education. She believes that health care delivery can be kind and compassionate and strives to provide an atmosphere for her patients that is both understanding and comfortable.
Prior to becoming an OB/GYN, Dr. Rice earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work and practiced as a Licensed Master’s Social Worker. She later received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and then completed her medical training with an OB/GYN residency at the Health Science Center’s University Hospital in San Antonio.
Dr. Rice is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is affiliated with several local hospitals, including Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano and Baylor Scott & White Centennial Frisco.
In her personal life, Dr. Rice enjoys traveling, snow skiing, and relaxing with a good book or movie. Dr. Rice is originally from Dallas and is thrilled to give back to her hometown community.

It’s the first time that I find a gynecologist that listens to me and takes action to see what’s going on with me. All my past doctors were so impersonal, they would treat me like they didn’t care about my health issues and never did anything to look further. Dr. Rice is the absolute best! She has delivered both of my kids and has provided the most outstanding care during both my pre and postnatal care as well as just regular gynecological visits. She is kind, she listens, and never jumps to any sort of quick fix instead she talks through all options and possibilities and outcomes. She has always been very responsive to my concerns. She’s wonderful!

I really love Dr Rice. She helps me feel comfortable talking about things that can be uncomfortable. She’s very thorough and takes her time with each patient. Most everyone in the office is awesome, the only problem I’ve had is the employee who books for follow up appointments. She is incredibly rude and has an attitude problem. I try not to let her crappy attitude taint my opinion of the office but it is difficult as she’s the last person I interact with. Overall though, the care offered by Dr Rice and the techs is superb and will keep me coming back.
Always provides so much detail and information to all my questions. She delivered my son almost 10years ago and then my grand daughter almost 4years ago. Still the best OB hands down.
