Neil Patel, MD, is a board-certified internist at Alpha Medical Clinic in Alpharetta, Georgia. Dr. Patel joined the practice in 2017 and has since been helping patients enjoy excellent health and well-being in their adult years.
Dr. Patel pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia prior to attending the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his internal medicine training around hospitals in Georgia, including Emory Healthcare, Grady Memorial Hospital, and Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals.
He was raised in Johns Creek, and from a very young age, he was passionate about the medical field. He believes that having good health can open many doors and opportunities in life, and works with patients to improve their quality of life. Dr. Patel is a strong advocate of personalized health care, and he utilizes the latest treatment options to achieve the best outcomes.
Along with his role at Alpha Medical Clinic, Dr. Patel serves on Northside Hospital’s Physician Committee as well as Wellstar’s Advisory Board.
He currently resides in Alpharetta with his daughter and wife. Outside of patient care, he loves watching Star Wars and fantasy football. He also enjoys playing a good game of pickleball.

Best doctor in town
The best practice in town! The Patel doctors are always attentive and friendly. They are always available and willing to listen to the patients’ needs. My family has been patients in this practice for 24 years now. I recently recommended one of my friends, and she and her husband had been very pleased with the quality of service the staff and the doctors provided.

Just want to start with the fact that this is a family Medical practice, and everyone including the father and son at the head of it are kind, listening, and wildly effective in their field. They don't suggest procedures or additional cost items, the receptionists are patient, they all work with you. I go for a physical once a year, and prescription refill a few times also. They are efficient (rarely waiting, rarely takes more than an hour). I am glad to know both Doctors are there, and if you need a doctor or a switch in practicioners, cannot recommend them more. 8 years as a patient!

I have been coming to this office for a very long time. I’ve seen both doctors and I have recommended many people that I care about to them. I have always been taken care of and treated so good by both doctors and staff. If you are looking for a great doctor and a staff that will treat you the way you should be treated, then look no more and call this wonderful place!
My son has been Dr. Neil’s patient for the past two years, and I can confidently say that choosing him was one of the best decisions we made as soon as my son aged out of pediatric care. Dr. Neil is exceptionally calm, patient, and attentive. He takes the time to listen to everything we have to say, no matter how small the concern, and responds with genuine care and understanding. With his friendly and caring attitude, our visits feel more like seeing a longtime friend than a doctor. He also responds promptly to any questions we ask via text or email. In fact, my son was so impressed by him that he talked my husband into changing his own primary care provider. While I always hope no one needs to visit a doctor often, if you do, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Neil at Alpha Medical Clinic. You won’t regret your decision – he’s truly a remarkable physician.

Dr. Neal is very professional, patient and thorough. He asks the right questions and listens intently. He does not rush your appointment to move on to the next patient which I like. I appreciate his sincere concern and recommendations and referrals to address medical issues and concerns. The office staff are top notch. Pleasant with quality customer service. I enjoy this practice as they are all responsive in a timely manner. I feel cared for and heard whenever I have a concern or need for medical attention.

Dr Neil Patel is an Amazing doctor, just as Amazing as his dad Dr Dhiraj Patel!! He is kind, empathetic, intelligent, knowledgeable and detailed! I would Highly recommend being a patient at Alpha Medical Clinic! Appointments are very easy to make and you can be seen quickly! I have been a patient for over 20yrs and have seen both doctors. When Dr. Patel came to the practice he became my forever Dr. I started here with his dad who I also loved. He listens to his patients and their input on their own health. His father is the same way. I appreciate him, trust him, and am so grateful I have a Dr. I trust! I’ve been with Alpha over 10 years and wish I could give them 10 stars!
He is patient with me and easy to understand about my health issues
The MA, I believe her name is Shritha, was kind. I had almost no wait time and the visit was efficient and easy. I saw the NP and then she came back in with Dr. Patel. They both listened to all of my concerns and addressed every question I asked. I left feeling heard and like we had a good plan in motion. Lily, the other MA, was excellent when drawing my blood. 10/10 recommend.

Both Dr. Patel's are wonderful, compassionate and genuinely caring. They smile, make eye contact and speak to you like a friend. You never feel rushed, and they always take the time to answer any questions or concerns about your health- and provide awesome care. (and follow up!) The front staff and nurses are amazing as well. One can never totally look forward to having to see a doctor, but Alpha Medical is a true gem that makes the experience as pleasant as possible. Many thanks- and way more than 5 stars!
