About Nelson Colon, MD

Dr. Nelson Colon is a board-certified Physiatrist with over 39 years of experience specializing in neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He completed his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehab at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. Dr Colon served as Attending Physician at NY Presbyterian Hospital, Puerto Rico Veteran Hospital, Consultant for SSA disability Determination, Neurology Associated Medical Director (North Miami Beach), and Shiloh Clinic in Tampa. At Neuro Robotics Rehab Center, Dr. Colon leads an advanced program combining evidence-based medicine as our Medical Director with robotic-assisted therapy to treat traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and chronic pain. His approach focuses on neuroplasticity, restoring function, and maximizing independence through personalized, multidisciplinary care. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is known for compassionate, results-driven care that helps patients regain mobility, confidence, and quality of life.
