It would have been extraordinarily helpful to have some of the specialized dressing supplies provided or at least a suggestion as to where to buy them. Absolutely NO written instructions on how to change this freshly weeping woundShow more, when and what was safe to eat, signs and symptoms to watch for. Thank God I've been an RN for 28 years and have experience caring for this type of wound. My brother, who was the one with her at the appointment, did not. Clear instructions are essential! Medicine 101!
The doctor has been involved in my situation through out, is always prepared when he enters the examination room and has been helpful in resolving my problem and listens to what I have to say.
