I was there early this morning. I’m a Virgo some highly critical of all professions. Upon entering and signing in I didn’t have to wait for a long. I sat down and before I knew it l was in the back with the doctor! I’m not sure whShow moreat her title but she escorted me to my room and really treated me like concierge at a five-star hotel and once she clean the reclining chair right in front of my eyes, that did it,I was in love. I’m a clean freak and they seem to be too and the service was wonderful he removed the bunion and he got way down in there to get the root And you know you must get the root of the problem lol.The experience was wonderful and I told him that I would tell everybody!
Dr. Smith was very attentive, and thorough during my initial visit. I did have to wait over a month to be seen as a new patient and endured lots of pain. Quite naturally, I was highly anticipating my appointment. The doctor did seShow moreem to be in a rush, but not in a bad way. It was almost like he wanted to stay on a timely schedule. He did listen to all of my concerns, and answered all of my questions. I feel at ease because of the information he gave versus the doctors I'd seen leading up to my referral with Dr. Smith. I'm the most optimistic I've been since getting diagnosed with my condition all because of my visit with Dr. Smith.
Nicholas Smith, DPM, MS, FACFAS, is board-certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery. In 2012, he joined the Columbus Foot & Ankle, P.C. team in Columbus, Georgia, providing high-quality care to patients in the area.
Dr. Smith is a native of Columbus, Georgia, graduating from Calvary Christian High School. He attended Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, majoring in biomedical sciences. Following Auburn University, Dr. Smith attended the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, where he received numerous awards and scholarships.
While attending podiatry school, he is one of the few who also obtained his master's degree in healthcare management and administration.
After graduating, Dr. Smith completed his three-year residency training at one of the top hospitals in Chicago, Loyola University Medical Center. While at Loyola, he served as chief resident while receiving extensive training in all aspects of podiatric care, including bunions, ankle and heel pain, foot and ankle injuries, as well as reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot surgery, and diabetic limb salvage.
Dr. Smith enjoys lecturing to the local community and is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
He volunteers within the podiatry community by serving on the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons committees. Dr. Smith also writes and reviews questions for the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners multiple times per year in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.
