George was great. Visit was routine until I began to discuss a continuing problem pain I've been having in my back-glutes-upper legs. I went over what the previous doctor and I did but I still had pain. George took some time to exShow moreplain how the pain was most probably nerve pathways that come out of the lower spine being pinched by the degrading spinal column joints due to osteoarthritis (spinal stenosis). He then suggested taking a preparation containing Glucosamine, MSM and Turmeric. I believe this had been discussed before with the previous doctor but George gave me renewed hope that this might offer some relief as people with knee joint pain had reported relief as an example. I thanked George profusely for his advice and enthusiasm regarding my care. Can't wait to see how this works!
At my 1st appointment with a new doctors office I was more then pleased. When I walked up to the window to sign in, I was met with a very warm feeling. Meeting my Doctors assistant was a great experience. She was very warm and carShow moreing to why I was there. My meeting with my Doctor was very pleasant. He explained everything and what he felt I needed to do, but left it up for conversation. I received my test information very fast. I called to get some clarification and was able to speak to my Doctors assistant immediately. She was able to clarify a lot of my questions. I totally recommend HealthyU Clinics. I dread going to Doctor appointments, but with my Doctor I don’t feel the anxiety.

Nicholas was born and raised in Minnesota. He attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis as an undergraduate, receiving his bachelor’s degree in physiology in 2015. He then completed his physician assistant training at Touro University Nevada in Henderson in 2021. After graduating, Nicholas moved to Phoenix and joined HealthyU Clinics in early 2022.
Nicholas enjoys taking the time to provide education to his patients. He believes in employing shared decision-making with patients to ensure compliance with the treatment plan and to maintain patient autonomy. He is also passionate about mental health and enjoys working closely with the behavioral health management staff to help meet the needs of his patients.
When he’s not seeing patients, Nicholas can find him spending time with his girlfriend and their dog, playing golf, watching sports, working on his car, cooking, or trying new restaurants.

I have always had the best experiences with George Bernt-FNP-C. HE IS VERY RESPECTFUL, LISTENS TO ME INTENTLY WHEN I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL HIM. HE EXPLAINS THOROUGHLY EVERYTHING HE NEEDS TO TELL ME REGARDING MY MEDICAL SITUATIONS and if things are not as good as I expect or want them to be, HE discusses those situations which gives me understanding.
