The experience was generally very good- I have been seeing Dr. Datta for a few years and have always liked her, she is thorough and very personable, the front office staff is also pleasant, and despite the fact that the office wasShow more very busy, the wait was just a few minutes. There were just two reasons for a rating of four stars instead of five: My first issue was that the floor in the exam room was filthy. I wondered if they could make the investment of buying IPads for check-in, couldn't they invest in hiring a person to clean the floor? (Other than that, the offices are fine- just that dirty, muddy floor!) Also, the "one size fits all" exam gowns don't even come close to fitting a plus-size woman. One would think they could have some larger gowns in the office for the comfort of people who come in a variety of sizes. Otherwise, I like Dr. Datta and trust her as my doctor.
First, finding an OBGYN in NYC that you like and trust is like finding that elusively perfect not too expensive apartment in the west village - impossible. But- Dr. Ostrov is the best! She is kind and patient and her office RUNS OShow moreN TIME! Your appointment is at 4:30? Great, she's in to see you at 4:40 after her wonderful staff has checked you in and taken your vitals. She recommended the exact right birth control for my body and making an appointment with her is really easy. Truly happy with Dr Ostrov and have already recommended friends to her.
Nikole Ostrov, MD, provides comprehensive gynecology services at Symphony Medical’s Andrus location in Yonkers, New York.
Dr. Ostrov has a special interest in treating women who are experiencing pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, and sexual disorders. She also helps patients explore their options for contraception to prevent unintended pregnancies.
Dr. Ostrov is a member of the American College of Gynecology, the International Pelvic Pain Society, and the North American Menopause Society. She is the recipient of several awards from the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, including the Super Doctors Rising Star award, the Top Doc 2020 award, and the Humanism in Medicine Award.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire, Dr. Ostrove went on to receive her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.
Dr. Ostrov completed a residency at Stony Brook University Hospital, and spent additional time there to become its first fellow in minimally invasive/robot-assisted gynecological surgery. She spent nearly a decade in a Manhattan private practice before joining Symphony Medical.

She really took the time to listen to my concerns and gave me great advice and recommendations. She asked me medical history questions and allowed me to express myself.
