Ojedapo Ojeyemi, MD, is a key part of the orthopedic surgical team at Orthopedic & Wellness, with offices in Frederick, Waldorf, and Germantown, Maryland. Dr. Ojeyemi is a highly sought-after doctor dedicated to improving the quality of his patients’ lives and providing them the very best care possible.
Dr. Ojeyemi graduated with honors from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York, with a bachelor’s degree. He earned his medical degree at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. He completed his residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he trained in orthopedics. At the renowned Texas Medical Center in Houston, Dr. Ojeyemi completed a fellowship in spinal medicine.
He’s also held academic clinical appointments at Howard University Hospital, where he was involved in patient care and with medical student and resident education and research.
Dr. Ojeyemi is passionate about developing the latest techniques in minimally invasive spinal procedures while removing the pain source from degenerated spines. He’s proud to be an active member of renowned medical societies, including the North Atlantic Spine Society, AOSpine, the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Committed to finding alternatives to traditional open spinal surgeries, Dr. Ojeyemi specializes in endoscopic and laser thermodiskoplasty, and motion preservation and percutaneous fusion. He regularly performs orthopedic trauma surgery, sports medicine, hand and foot surgery, and complex open and minimally invasive spinal procedures.
Dr. Ojeyemi lectures worldwide on minimally invasive spinal techniques. When he’s not at Orthopedic & Wellness, Dr. Ojeyemi travels to African countries like Nigeria to do humanitarian medical work.
