Dr. Lesani attended the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he earned his medical degree. He later completed a surgical internship and urology residency at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, and a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. He served as an instructor of urology at Northwestern Medical Center prior to joining Las Vegas Urology.
Dr. Lesani adheres to the philosophy that “it’s not the cancer you remove from the patient, but rather it’s the patient you preserve from cancer.” This focus on patient care shines through in his work, and he remains dedicated to providing the safest, least disruptive, minimally invasive care whenever possible, including the latest in robotic procedures.
As a highly respected robotic surgeon and a fellowship-trained urologist in southern Nevada, Dr. Lesani‘s academic work has been presented at urology conferences at home and abroad. In his spare time, he gives back to his peers and the medical community, publishing articles and authoring chapters in books such as the “Mastery of Surgery” and “Management of Urologic Malignancies.” He serves as an invited faculty for the North American Robotic Urology Symposium, an organization dedicated to promoting cutting edge advances in robotics surgery.

Doctor Lesani is the rudest fucking asshole I have ever experienced in my 61 years of doctor visits. You will not receive good medical treatment with this piece of shit! Now that I vented my anger I can tell you why I am so angry and frustrated. I have been dealing with several doctors at Las Vegas Urology since late summer 2024. I started with another piece of shit doctor by the name of Patino. After an unsuccessful Rezum’ procedure and a nightmare getting a Optilume scheduled at Southern Hills Hospital. They finally get me in and as I’m laying on the pre-op bed ready to be wheeled in to the O.R. Dr Patino runs in to tell me they don’t have the medical equipment to do the procedure at Southern Hills Hospital, so he canceled my surgery. Next up with this ongoing nightmare is a new surgery date at Saint Rose Hospital. I actually went into the O.R. To have the Optilume procedure done but as I was out cold Doctor Patino changed the whole procedure and decided that it was best to do a partial TURP instead. This was in May 2025. It turned out unsuccessful as well and didn’t relieve my symptoms along with having to go to the E.R. to have my catheter evacuated because of tissue and blood blockages. Doctor Patino said he wanted to scope me again to see what was going on inside and sent me to the scheduler who informed me that he was leaving out of the country for a bit and that there were no appointments available until he got back. They couldn’t give me a date so they said they would call me to schedule but of course it never happened. I decided to schedule an appointment with a different doctor (Grudzinski) and during my appointment with Grudzinski he also wanted to scope me to see what was going on. I made my appointment and as I was walking out to my vehicle a nurse came running after me telling me that I needed to return to my doctors room. Doctor Grudzinski comes in with a report saying I had prostate cancer. This was the first time I was notified of this, no one from doctor Patinos office or Saint Rose hospital ever bothered to tell me and almost six months had passed. This is where doctor Lesani comes in. After another month of waiting I finally get to see doctor Lesani after being referred by doctor Grudzinski for a surgery consultation. Doctor Lesani comes into my room without even saying hello, rattled off my diagnosis and immediately said that surgery to remove the prostate was not an option according to the American Medical Association. I am having so many problems including excessive scarring from the previous two surgeries that I wanted my cancerous prostate removed. This procedure would correct 2 very serious problems in one surgery but he wouldn’t have it. Doctor Grudzinski referred me to him to have my prostate removed and doctor Lesani refuses to do it unless I have more tests done as he will only attempt to repair the scarring. That would mean if my cancer gets worse then I will have to go in for another surgery down the road. This is absolutely unacceptable! Las Vegas Urology and pretty much their entire team of doctors are utterly morons and entirely incompetent not to mention rude, uncaring and ultra unprofessional. Stay far, far away from Las Vegas Urology…. You have been warned!!!

I chose Robotic surgery over radiation oncology for my stage 2 prostate cancer. Surgery went well, follow up is great, recovery coming along nicely. Highly recommend Dr. Lesani, one of the best in the business.
