When ever we meet with Dr. Yeakey we are impressed by his rapt attention to our personal health and knowledge re; pharmaceuticals and natural alternatives in recovery from right shoulder replacement @age 80 and left knee replacemeShow morent @age 73. Dr. Yeakey listened to my concerns and asked pertinent questions to understand what my issue was. I was not rushed along as he took the time to understand my concerns. He prescribed a treatment that I was happy with and was exacShow moretly the route I wanted to go. He did not jump ahead to an invasive procedure for which I was grateful. I have always been satisfied with Dr Yeakey's care.

We are so blessed Dr. Yeakey has joined the staff at Ka’u Wellness. He sees my 92 year old Mom, my husband and myself. Very thorough with our concerns and a great bedside manner. Professional and kind.
He is great. Listens and advises. I hope he stays.
The providers I have seen are excellent. The only issue is with communication. The phone system does not work most of the time & when it does, nobody answers. You have to leave a message & they do call you back. The office is close to my home, so if I need to talk to someone, I just stop in.
Best primary care physician I’ve experienced so far on BigIsland. I drive the extra 20 minutes for the excellent service 🤙🏼

Dr. Yeakey cares, is patient, makes an effort to get to know us, and is easy to talk to. We are fortunate here in Ka’u to have a such good doctor available to us.
As always, our PCP Dr Yeakey fulfilled our pre surgery needs for labs, referral and prescription advice and alternatives in Healing Time helping us to be proactive as we are each having full Shoulder replacement @age 78 & bilateral Knee replacement @age73! We are so grateful to Kau Wellness & Dr Yeakey for all they do for our rural Kau Community.

Dr. Yeakey is a very kind and friendly doctor. He takes his time to hear your concerns and reviews issues with care and attention without making you feel embarrased. He always calls me by my name, which is really important. Also, remembers other medical issues I have that are treated at a different facility. I have been under Dr. Yeakey's care for many years and highly recommend him as a loving and very knowledgeable doctor. Laura
I came here 5 years ago, a reck in my health, we to see different doctors and was just a number, until I met Dr Yeakey 2 years, things changed, was not a number anymore, he took great concern for my heath, I breathe better, I walk farther, lost 25 pounds, legs don't keep me up all night, thought I don't look better😭 you would not do any better except in your healthcare.
Dr. Yeakey has always been responsive to my questions (and I always have a lot) and is very knowledgeable in many fields. This area is very lucky to have him!
