Takes his time and tries to be more natural medicine
Dr. Yeakey and everyone who works in his office have always been kind and helpful. The doctor asks the right questions to encourage me to supply the information he needs to diagnose my problem.
Is going to the doctor a fun thing? Well, I find my visits with Dr. Yeakey quite entertaining and informative. I really appreciate his concern, awareness and practical explanations. I have never had a “strange” visit and have always left fully aware of any of my morbidities and how to care for them.
Dr. Yeakey listened to me and answered all my concerns. He did not rush through the appointment. He is an excellent physician.

I'm a returning patient of Dr. Yeakey's and am thankful he takes my insurance. My physical, cognitive, and behavioral conditions are complex due to a condition about which many physicians still have little knowledge. As before and now, it's meaningful to me that Dr. Yeakey not only knows what he's talking about but also cares. I understand we are medically short staffed in Hawai'i Co., but doctors still need to have a firm understanding of conditions they might face as well as compassion.
Kau Wellness is a wonderful resource for Naalehu. Dr Yeakey is great as is their other staff members. Always there to help with multiple services. I highly recommend the practice as primary source for medical care.
