Paul Chang, MD, is a board-certified pain management specialist with an additional certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Since 2013, he has served chronic pain patients at Pain Care, LLC, located in Stockbridge, Lawrenceville, Newnan, GA.
Dr. Chang attended medical school at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, and completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the University of California, Irvine. He later completed an additional pain management fellowship at Loma Linda University.
Pain management has always been important to Dr. Chang. At a young age, he witnessed his grandmother suffer chronic pain from pancreatic cancer treatments. Today, he continues to participate in cutting-edge research and training to discover new, effective pain management treatments for his patients with chronic pain.
Dr. Chang treats a number of occupational and sports injuries, which include all types of back pain, neck pain, nerve pain, and musculoskeletal disorders. Specialized treatments that he performs include minimally invasive spinal surgeries, spinal cord stimulation, discography, radiofrequency neurotomy, sacroiliac joint fusions, peripheral nerve stimulation, and all types of pain injections.
Dr. Chang is also one of the few physicians in the U.S. trained to treat patients with evidence-based devices. These include the Superion™ device by Veriflex®, Nevro spinal cord stimulation system, Stimwave neurostimulators, Medtronic pain relief devices, Boston Scientific spinal cord stimulator, Abbott neurostimulators, and OneSurge sacroiliac joint fusion device.
With a multidisciplinary approach to care, Dr. Chang believes pain treatment should be individualized for each patient. Rather than rely on medication, he strives to uncover the root cause of a patient’s pain for effective treatment.
Outside of his work at Pain Care, LLC, Dr. Chang has contributed to numerous pain management publications and is actively involved in community volunteer work.

FNP Knight was very thorough and professional ! She is very nice and concerned abt your health. Your questions are answered with referrals and suggestions. She's very knowledgeable abt our bone structure especially the spine, back and hip joints.
The doctor I saw discussed a different treatment than you talked about with me. He did not discuss surgery at all. He will do another injection next week.

Kudos ten times over to this amazing practice! Dr. Wilkinson is the most compassionate physician I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Very interactive and listens to my concerns and makes me feel heard. I suffered from chronic low back pain and neuropathy being treated with medication and lumbar injections and not having a very productive life, it was decided, with much discussion with Dr. Wilkinson and Dr. Galan, that a spinal cord stimulator would be the next step. Dr. Wilkinson implanted the spinal cord stimulator and about 6 weeks later, I was feeling amazing! It has been seven months since the implant and I can say I have a very productive life now, and it has by far exceeded my expectations. Thank you sir! Hats off to the amazing staff, Chizzy who I affectionately call Rhonda :) for always keeping me informed of any changes and explaining things that would happen during the procedure and keeping me calm. Thorough, attentive and listens
Dr. Wilkinson was attentive and thoughtful in answering my questions and helping me understand all of my options for pain care. I’m feeling much better already and I feel like I am more involved now in making decisions about my healthcare. I would highly recommend him to others looking for a doctor who listens and cares.

Nicole was prompt and gracious. She was thorough in her examination of the pain area and listened to my input. We talked about her recommended procedures. We talked about my need to get back into the exercises I did in PT. She offered to order more PT, but I declined for now. She did not rush the visit and allowed time for questions.
