Nurses and doc were great!
I am a new patient of Dr. Katz. He was pleasant and asked what he could assist me with medically. He did labs on me to determine what is going on with me. I feel he is knowledgeable of health care issues. I will continue to be treated by Dr. Katz. My new PCP internal medicine.
I had an appointment with Blaise Fondren, NP but when I showed up for the appointment I was told that she not longer worker there. I was told I had an outstanding balance for a deductible. Since I have meet my deductible for this year I said I should not owe anything, she looked and saw it was January 2024. She gave me a copy of it. This is the first I had heard of it and did not get a bill until when the mail came later that day. I believe someone should have notified me about her leaving and that I had been reassigned to Dr. Katz. This is the fourth time this has happened in this practice. When I got in to see Dr. Katz he was not familiar with my case. He did order the follow-up TSH level to evaluate the efficacy of the increase in dosage of Synthroid. Before I got the blood drawn the tech gave me a piece of paper and said sign it. When I said I was not signing anything I did not read first. See said then you are refusing to sign and said she would draw the lab but not run it unless I signed. When I looked at the form it was from Honeywell. Medical Group advising me I would be responsible for the cost of the test. When I asked the tech why she did not give me an answer, She then said I have other blood to draw. I said I can take the form to the waiting and read it and she said no. I said I need a copy and she said no. I signed and the blood was drawn. I had never in all the years I have been at the clinic had to sign such a form like this, particularly without some explanation. I do not blame the tech she was more than likely just doing what she was told.
