I was in massive back an hip pain and could barely walk into appointment. I was using a wheelchair to get around at home and canes outside. Then Dr. Marsiglia did his magic PAINLESS Procedure and I knew it worked by the time I gotShow more off the table and I danced pain free back to the car. It’s been 3 weeks and I feel great! Now at least with me this is a miracle but the miracle runs out in about 3 years and you feel bad again. Simple 1 call to doctor Dr. M every 3-4 years and you’ll be back to normal in no time! Working with Dr Marsiglio on pain therapy has been a good experience. I had gel shots in my rt knee and the pain has improved greatly. We are now into the middle procedure of back ablation. Today is the first day after having the Show moreleft side done. Too early to tell but I do believe the pain on that side has decreased. Did the procedure without twilight and his technique made it very possible without much pain at all. Dr. Marsiglio is quite conversational and takes my kidding very nicely and has some quick and funny responses. I do enjoy his personality and he is very professional. I would highly recommend him. The staff at Inovative pain are very friendly and helpful. Offive Atmosphere is very comforting. Also very professional.

Dr. Paul Marsiglia grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University. He then pursued his professional medical training from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences as well as Midwestern University, where he received his medical degree in 2006. In just his first year of medical school, Dr. Marsiglia was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi Medical Honors Society, where he was a member until graduation. Shortly after graduating at the top of his medical school class, he began his internship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where he obtained valuable experience in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Thoracic Surgery. He then went on to specialize in Anesthesiology at Rush University Medical Center, where he excelled and was selected as Chief Resident in the Department of Anesthesiology. While at Rush, Dr. Marsiglia also researched innovative ways to effectively treat patients with persistent low back pain. After completing his residency, Dr. Marsiglia traveled to Boston in order to pursue more specialized training at one of the most prestigious Interventional Pain Medicine fellowships in the world at Harvard Medical School. He trained at top ranked instituations including Brigham and Women's Hospital as well as Boston Children's Hospital. While simultaneously training as a fellow in Pain Medicine at Harvard University, he also served as an Attending Anesthesiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, where he was actively involved in teaching medical students and residents during his time there.
Currently, Dr. Marsiglia practices Interventional Pain Medicine at Innovative Pain Specialists, which he co-founded in early 2011 with his friend and colleague, Dr. Demetrios Louis. As a double board-certified specialist in both Anesthesiology as well as Pain Medicine, he has extensive experience in treating patients suffering from acute and chronic pain. In addition, he is on staff at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where he also cares for patients suffering from various types of pain. He strives to utilize a holistic approach to pain management, which he has fine-tuned since his training in medical school and residency. When you are in pain, the worst thing you can hear when seeking medical help is, "we are booked up now but can fit you in a couple of weeks." That was not the case here. My visit was scheduled promptly, and I was given a thorough diagnosis of my issue. I saw Genesis, Dr. Marsiglia’s assistant,at my recent appointment. We discussed how I have been since I received a steroid back injection 2 weeks prior. I’ve experienced a big decrease in my pain level in my lower back since the injection, and I haven’t felt any shooting pain down my legs. She did a physical assessment, also. Genesis is very kind & knowledgeable. I feel comfortable with her care.

I am just so happy with my recent knee treatments. First I had the series of viscous solution injections. I had some improvement with those. But still had some discomfort & difficulty walking with my knee pain. So Dr. Marsiglia suggested further treatment with cortisone knee injections. After all of those treatments, I feel 90-100% improvement in my knees. I can’t thank Dr. Marsiglia enough !!!!!

Dr.Marsiglia was very punctual as far as my appointment time. He was very informative and took time with me.
I always recommend Dr Marsiglia. Having needed a pain mgt for any years, he has been superior in every way. He is board certified in Pain Management and in Anesthesiology. Most doctors do not have those certificates but are still permitted to treat you and give you injections without having to keep up with training and certification. Please make sure whoever you choose for your pain management that they have both of these certifications. Also, when going to any specialist for surgery, dental, etc, tell them that your pain mgt dr will be managing your pain. If you live in Illinois - Dr Paula Marsiglia is the best.
