Dr. Paula Zand is a Board-Certified Family Physician specializing in Dermatology. She earned her undergraduate degree from UC Davis in 2003, her M.D. from St. George's University in 2012, and was honored to be selected as Chief Resident of her Family Medicine Residency in New York City in 2016. Dr. Paula focused on dermatology during her seven-year primary care tenure at Kaiser, managing over 2,400 dermatology visits annually due to a shortage of specialists.
Her pursuit of excellence led Dr. Paula to complete a rigorous yearlong dermatology fellowship under the guidance of her sister, Dr. Sarv Zand, here at Zand Dermatology. This specialized training deepened her expertise and refined her approach, ensuring her medical recommendations are perfectly aligned with Dr. Zand’s holistic and minimally-invasive philosophy. In fact, Dr. Paula performs all of Dr. Zand’s full skin examinations, biopsies, and cosmetic procedures such as Botox and fillers.
Dr. Paula is not only dedicated to her patients but also to living a balanced life filled with yoga, hiking, swimming and learning. She especially enjoys cherished moments with her two children, pathologist husband (he diagnoses skin lesions under a microscope - what a perfect match!), and beloved slobbery French Mastiff, Thor.

Relaxing, comfortable and pleasant over all. I ordered a hydrating facial which is advertised for $200 on your website. I was subsequently charged $300 for it. I didn’t inquire at purchase time because I assumed I’d forgotten the price but I checked after and saw the discrepancy. No one explained or asked me if it was okay to charge me more. I’d still appreciate an explanation. Only thing that would’ve been better about the facial itself was to ask if I’d like some lip balm put on at the end. My lips were extremely dry after. Usually this is done at other places that provide facials. Thank you.
