Dr. Payam Vahedifar, MD

Payam Vahedifar, MD, is an experienced physician and pain management specialist who helps men and women across the Los Angeles region improve wellness and reduce chronic pain. He is the owner of Payam Vahedifar, M.D. Nuvo Spine and Sports Institute & Ortho Regenerative Center, with three locations in Beverly Hills, Encino and Thousand Oaks, California.

Dr. Vahedifar obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before conducting extensive research on nerve-associated pain at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. In 1997, he finished a medical internship at the University of California, Irvine.

In 2000, Dr. Vahedifar completed his medical residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation with honors from UCLA and the affiliated hospitals. Following his residency, Dr. Vahedifar continued training in spine and interventional spine treatments under the head of orthopedic spine surgery at the Orthopaedic Hospital.

Dr. Vahedifar is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He has won a multitude of awards, including the Patient’s Choice Award from Vitals for 10 years in a row.

Specializing in physical medicine, rehabilitation pain medicine, and nonsurgical intervention, Dr. Vahedifar brings exceptional knowledge, skill, and precision to pain management and health care. He’s board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, sports medicine, pain management, and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Vahedifar is experienced in treating a broad spectrum of conditions, including cervical spinal stenosis, complex regional pain syndrome, arthritis, herniated discs, labrum and meniscus tears, rotator cuff injury, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, plantar fasciitis, sciatica, and tennis elbow. He addresses problematic orthopedic and functional conditions of the neck, shoulder, lower back, spine, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle.
