About Dr. Peninnah Kumar, DPM
Dr. Kumar was born in South India but grew up in Philadelphia, PA and moved to the Nashville area to be closer to her parents. At a very young age, diabetes had a significant impact on her family’s life and opened the doors to podiatry. Her undergraduate studies were split between Villanova University and Alderson Broaddus College in West Virginia. Her desire to pursue her love for surgery and medicine led her to Cleveland, OH, where she completed 4 years at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. In June 2013, Dr. Kumar graduated from the 3 year Atlanta Veterans Affairs Residency program with a PMSR Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle certificate. During her residency, Dr. Kumar was given the opportunity to lecture at national and regional podiatry conferences as well publish podiatric literature.
Dr. Kumar credits her husband Jonathan, her family, and most importantly, God’s guidance for helping her achieve her goals. Her greatest achievements to date have to be the births of her sons, James and Judah.

Awesome office visit today, loved Dr. Barrow & how she resolved my issues. The office staff was great & I'll be back! Thanks!
Office staff very friendly and approachable.
I didn't have to wait for my appointment. The receptionist knew my name as soon as I walked through the door. The doctor was friendly and very thorough. She walked me the steps to get my foot back to normal. I appreciate the professional services. Thank you.
Erica and Dr. Neuhaus were friendly, professional, and compassionate to my needs. Thank you.
Very friendly and fast!
Just like being in the office except better cause I did not have to go anywhere
Untrained person at desk very unconfident.
Very organized regarding scheduling&appt reminders. Short wait time to get an appt&be taken back for the appt [email protected] office. Kind, caring staff, very compassionate&knowledgebul Dr, it’s obvious she wants to help you&doesn’t seem rushed. Highly recommend this group!
I would have given a 5 star, except I had a very long wait to be seen, but when I was, I was very pleased with Dr. Chris and his assistant. He apologized for my wait, listened to my complaints, reviewed x-rays, and provided a diagnosis and treatment options. He answered all my questions. His assistant, whose name I have forgotten, was very informative and kind when explaining use of the boots. I would recommend Dr. Chris.
Service was really great.
