Dr. Phu Tran, MD

Phu C. Tran, MD, is a double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He is board certified by both the  American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and the American Board of Surgery (ABS).

Dr. Tran’s philosophy is simple: to provide a personalized plastic surgery experience! He will work with you,  listen to your concerns, and work with your busy schedule -- to achieve tailored result. His goal is to achieve a natural-looking result while minimizing complications.

He does the full spectrum of Plastic Surgery, from cosmetic surgery of the face, breasts, and body to complex reconstructive surgery, including for cancer, complex wounds, burns, and traumatic injuries. He is an expert in wounds and its surgical treatment.

After receiving his medical degree from the renowned Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, Dr. Tran completed his General Surgery residency at the University of California San Francisco- Fresno (UCSF-Fresno) program in Fresno, CA. He then went on to complete his Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery training at Indiana University School of Medicine. 

Following his training, he returned to UCSF Fresno to teach surgical residents and fellows in the General Surgery, Orthopedic surgery, and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery program as a clinical faculty and currently holds an academic appointment as an adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor for the world-renowned University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine.
