Dr. Nguyen is great- answered any questions I had & reassured me. I had a great experience with her 3 years ago as well when I had my first baby. Nurses are wonderful as well! Very sweet and full of energy. Front desk could work oShow moren “bedside manner”. I had to explain to her 3x (once on the phone, once in the morning when I came for my original appt, and again when paying for my visit) why I was there in a waiting room full of other patients. I was sad and uncomfortable, and didn’t want to continue to explain (AGAIN) why I had to be seen.
Dr. Nguyen-Luu is amazing, but the reception staff is less than stellar. I had an appointment at the end of October and they were supposed to call me four weeks later when my medicine arrived for a follow up appointment. Two monthShow mores later, I still had not heard back from them despite calling the office more than 10 times and leaving several voicemails since my first appointment. I finally just scheduled another appointment online and it turns out that my product had been in for weeks. Very frustrating. Other than that, the I had a great experience.
Before becoming part of the practice of Dr. Jose F. De Leon, M.D., P.A., caring for patients in Irving and Dallas, Texas, Dr. Phuong Nguyen-Luu began pursuit of her medical career as an undergraduate chemistry major at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She graduated with honors and continued on to earn her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. From there, Dr. Nguyen-Luu ventured to California where she completed her OB/GYN internship at the University of California, Los Angeles, David Geffen School of Medicine.
Next, she relocated to the East Coast to complete her residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, where she served as the administrative chief resident. Dr. Nguyen-Luu received the John Riva, MD Oncology Award for her excellence in gynecologic surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital in 2017.
Now back in Texas, Dr. Nguyen-Luu provides her expertise in obstetrics and gynecology at the practice of Dr. Jose F. De Leon, M.D., P.A., at the office in Irving, Texas. She is fluent in Vietnamese and English and is highly skilled and detailed in her approach to patient-centered women’s health care. The practice itself is amazing! Dr. Deleon has created a lovely environment! I've been seeing Dr. Nguyen for 5 years now and she is nothing short of wonderful! Very caring, kind, and compassionate. She will do what is best for you as the patient.
Dr. Nguyen-Luu was not available so I was seen by a new doctor. There was a 1-hr delay to be seen due to my insurance, but the team was caring. I wish the new doctor had made me feel more at ease since I’ve been only seen by Dr. Nguyen before. I felt very anxious and rushed.
Every time I come in and see Dr.Nguyen she makes me feel very comfortable and answers all my questions. Definitely recommend her!

Dr. Nguyen- Luu is by far my favorite doctor. She remembers faces and even remembers conversations. We it comes to tough conversations, she gently goes into explanation especially when it deals with fertility.

Dr. Nguyen was so thorough and friendly. She listened to all of my concerns and included my partner in our discussion, which I appreciated. For my first appointment, I wasn’t sure quite what to expect, but she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I would give her 100 stars if I could!

Front desk was really nice, all the staff was nice. Clean area. Dr. Phuong was amazing at explaining everything. I finally feel like I am getting the help and support I have needed for so long! So happy to have her!
She is the best! All my questions were answered and she made me feel very comfortable. I will no longer dread my well woman exams. I'm so glad I decided to go with her.
