I have seen Dr. Morbia for me since 2002. He was both my parents Dr for many years. My dad passed at 96 and my mom at 81. Dr. Morbia had promised at least 100 years. Not bad! Dr. Morbia is the only Dr that has ever given me his ceShow morell phone number and answers himself when I call. He is very detailed in his service and expects the same from his staff. If something is not right, he will work to fix it himself. Just tell him there’s a problem. He is a very smart man and researches new techniques, equipment, and procedures continually. My entire family has and will see him for heart issues.
The office staff is a little dry (not rude just not pleasant). Dr Morbia brighten the office when he walks into the room. He patience, listens and make you feel better just because he has a pleasant look on his face. Cons: TheyShow more need to work on the office copay when testing. It’s highway robbery... if I dont take all my test on one day they want to charge another co-pay to complete the testing (imagine 4 days of testing). Sometime the wait is overly long and sometime it's not. Overrall, it's not a ball.
Pradip J. Morbia, MD, FACC, FCCP, is a cardiovascular disease specialist at Gulf Coast Cardiology Group PLLC in Port Arthur, Texas. Dr. Morbia is triple board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Internal Medicine and is a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Morbia moved to the Port Arthur area from Los Angeles, California, where he had a very busy cardiology practice. Because the traffic in the city did not allow him to reach his patients in a timely manner in an emergency, he decided to move to the smaller city of Port Arthur so that he could provide his patients with the best care available, including emergency care. Prior to being in Los Angeles, he was trained in cardiovascular medicine in the Chicago area at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. He trained for seven years in different areas of medicine, including a rotating internship in various fields of medicine and surgery. He completed three years of internal medicine residency and three years of the cardiovascular medicine fellowship training program.
Dr. Morbia has been practicing as an interventional cardiologist since 1988. Dr. Morbia was brought in to start the open-heart surgery program at Park Place Medical Center, and he performed the first-ever percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (balloon angioplasty of the coronary artery) at Park Place Medical Center.
To date, he has done more than 25,000 cardiovascular cases. Dr. Morbia is the senior-most interventional cardiologist living and practicing in the Mid and South-Jefferson County area. After establishing himself, he rapidly expanded his practice to Christus St. Mary's Hospital, Mid-Jefferson Hospital, and Doctor's Hospital, which is now Renaissance Hospital.
He has been married to his beautiful wife, Jayshree, since 1982, and he has two wonderful sons, Roshan and Ravi. Roshan went to the University of Chicago for his undergraduate degree, majoring in Mathematics and Biology. Since then, he has graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, and is set to become a plastic surgeon. Ravi graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and is studying to become a web designer.

Dr. Morbia is very concerned about his patients! You don’t have to have an appointment to see him when you need him! He gives you his cell phone number, and home phone number and of course the office number! Nine times out of ten you get test results the same day!

I’m 72 yrs old and I had a personal call for the first time from a doctor. Dr Morbia was seeing my brother and called to let me know the treatment, testing etc he was scheduling… I was stunned! He was kind, thorough and courtesy. I feel my brother is in good hands.

I have no issues or complaints. I have known Dr Morbia for quite a long time working with him at hospitals, now he’s my doctor, I admire his concern and honesty regarding my health. He is very thorough when it comes to my health. He is one of many doctors that doesn’t rush you out of their office without listening to your concerns.
