Board-certified endocrinologist Prashant Koshy, MD, serves on the team of endocrinology, diabetes, and thyroid specialists at The Endocrine Center. Dr. Koshy sees patients out of the practice’s Main Campus and Methodist West locations in Houston, Texas.
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Koshy completed his undergraduate education at the University of New Orleans. He then earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine in New Orleans. After graduating, Dr. Koshy completed an internal medicine residency through LSU in Baton Rouge. He also completed an endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at Baylor Scott and White through Texas A&M in Temple. He has been proud to call Texas his home for the last five years and is excited to be in the Houston area with his wife and children.
Dr. Koshy has expertise in treating a variety of endocrine conditions with clinical, evidence-based medical practices, particularly diabetes, pituitary disease, thyroid disease, parathyroid disease, and osteoporosis. He enjoys the challenge of diagnosing and treating endocrine conditions, as well as getting to know his patients beyond their disease progression.

Dr. Prashant Koshy takes time to listens, and answers any questions I might have. He is always smiling and gives great customer service by recommending solutions to health concerns. He also gives you kudos when needed.

Dr. Koshy was extremely patient and took his time to explain my condition in detail, all of which was very much appreciated and put my mind at ease.
Dr. Koshy is intelligent, professional, attentive, sympathetic, and always positive! If my A1C has gone up, he'll tell me the good news (my liver and kidney functions were good on my latest bloodwork) and encourage me to exercise more to lower my A1C.
The only problem was a long wait to get blood tested.

Dr. Qureshi is great. Takes his time with you and doesn’t rush. The lab person I had didn’t seem to happy…she looked at the list of people she had to draw labs for and said “I guess I’m not going to get a lunch…”. That is my only complaint. Dr Qureshi himself and staff are great.
