Dr. Bansal was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. She completed her undergraduate and medical degrees as part of a six-year combined program through Penn State University in Centre County, Pennsylvania, and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After graduation, Dr. Bansal completed an internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She excelled in the program, earning board certification in both specialties. She is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, and allergy and immunology.

She is the immediate former AAAAI Chairperson of the Practice Management Workshop and Communications Oversight Task Force, a Member of the AAAAI COVID-19 Task Force, Prior Authorization Task Force, Women’s Health A/I Committee, Health Disparities Task Force, mentor for the AAAAI Leadership Institute, and abstract reviewer for the AAAAI. She is a state delegate for the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology House of Delegates, on their Practice Management Committee, and a reviewer for the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Bansal has also been honored with the Castle Connolly Top Doctor Award for 2021 and 2022.
