Rachel Denison MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC Rachel Denison is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Her philosophy is grounded in compassion, dignity, and evidence-based care. She takes a holistic, trauma-informed, patient-centered approach and partners with individuals and families to set goals, make shared decisions, and build skills that support long-term mental wellness. She is committed to reducing stigma, improving access to care, and creating a welcoming space where people feel heard, safe, and supported.
