Dr Shetty is such a caring and brilliant doctor. He did his research in advance about my 77 year old mother and knew that she was admitted to the hospital without me having to apprise him. He expressed full concern about her histoShow morery and present surroundings, this indicated ghat he really was interested in his patient and throughout the visit he was attentive and made eye contact with my mother and I. This made us feel welcomed and happy to be there. Dr Shetty explained clearly and simply what he believes could be the diagnosis but preferred to run further tests this way a proper diagnosis could align with her treatment. This doctor is well read, very pleasant, patient with my mother and to me is concerned about her getting better. ALS when I got to his office, Stevie a member of his staff helped me by taking my mom out of the car with their wheel chair and returning her to the car after the visit. This made me so happy. Stevie took the initiative to give me a break when I really needed one. Thank you guys.
Dr shetty, see's my husband is a very good doctor. We like about him is that when we see him he is very patient and explains every little detail on the examinations that he did on my husband. But he staff need to be looked at verShow morey close. Not happy with the staff. They don't smell, don't greet very unprofessional. The nurse that see my husband is great too she always greets us with a smile tells my husband what she is gonna do first makes he feel less nervous.

Dr. Shetty earned his medical degree from Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre in Nerul, India. He held a rotatory internship at Rajawadi Hospital in Bombay, India, then worked in family practice before moving to the United States.
Dr. Shetty completed his residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After his residency, he worked as an attending physician and then as the assistant director of the emergency department at Interfaith Medical Center. He was honored as the Best Physician in his department in 2004.
Dr. Shetty continued his education with two fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The first fellowship was in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and the second was in lung transplantation. During his time at Baylor, Dr. Shetty earned several honors, including Best First Year Fellow, Best Third Year Fellow, Best Fellow in Cardio-Thoracic ICU/Private Practice, and Best Outgoing Fellow.

Dr Shetty listened to my breathing concerns, listened to my breathing under different conditions. Asked several questions about all my possibilitie exposures to lung irritants over my life - even picked up on my Vietnam agent orange exposure. He also examined the arthritis in my fingers. At the end Dr Shetty explained how different materials and the arthritis could impact my breathing. He then ordered several tests and a follow-up visit.
Thoroughness. Deep concern. Listening. These all describe Dr. Shetty. He found a tumor on unrelated system on a chest CT x 2 years and encouraged follow ups with other providers to monitor and delve further into. Turned out to be cancer. I got it removed and thanked him thoroughly on the next appointment. If you’re lucky enough to get an appointment with him, KEEP IT!
