Patients are greeted with smiles that say hello, we know you don’t want to be here, but whatever is going on with you, we want you to know we will care for you like you were our family. When escorted back into the exam room section the medical aide is also smiling and welcoming Their professionalism is quietly understated as the staff back there works helping patients in person and on the phone. It is a very pleasant experience to be in the presence of all those demonstrably caring individuals. Then, there is Dr. Shetty, himself. Here stands a man with all the knowledge in the world about lungs and could arrogantly tell his patients what their going to do based upon his knowledge and experience. But, no, he doesn’t do that. He educates his patients so they can make an informed decision in the care path they choose to have the good doctor take them on. He has a demeanor that is gentle in a good-humored way that sets his patients at ease, at once. I am confident that what ever the path a patient has to take, Dr. Shetty and his staff are right behind God holding the patient’s best interests in hand to ensure they deliver the best care and treatment possible. I am so grateful for Dr. Shetty and his staff. I have been a patient with Lung Docs for several years now. Dr. Shetty and his staff have always been on top of my care. The fear and uncertainty of having respiratory problems is an everyday, every minute occurrence in patiencShow moree daily lives. I have been seen by both Dr. Shetty and Candice Trager FNP-C, and have always felt that they understood not only the medical aspect, but the emotional one as well. I know that Ms. Trager is in constant contact with Dr. Shetty so I encourage anyone who needs to be seen not to hesitate to make an appointment with Ms. Trager. I can assure you, you'll be as impressed with her as I am. Let's not forget the rest of the staff! As any patient will tell you feeling like your welcomed, and that staff are familiar with you case file is very comforting. Dr. Shetty and his entire staff get an "A" from me. Rajesh Shetty, MD, is the lead physician at LungDocs in Kyle and New Braunfels, Texas. He’s board-certified in pulmonary and critical care medicine and brings nearly 30 years of experience to his practice.
Dr. Shetty earned his medical degree from Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre in Nerul, India. He held a rotatory internship at Rajawadi Hospital in Bombay, India, then worked in family practice before moving to the United States.
Dr. Shetty completed his residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After his residency, he worked as an attending physician and then as the assistant director of the emergency department at Interfaith Medical Center. He was honored as the Best Physician in his department in 2004.
Dr. Shetty continued his education with two fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The first fellowship was in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and the second was in lung transplantation. During his time at Baylor, Dr. Shetty earned several honors, including Best First Year Fellow, Best Third Year Fellow, Best Fellow in Cardio-Thoracic ICU/Private Practice, and Best Outgoing Fellow.

Dr. Sheddy was professional, thorough and compassionate. He picked up on some things that the PCP didn't and took the initiative to follow through on the appropriate testing. The office was clean and neat and his staff was friendly and efficient! I'm so glad that another friend highly recommended him.
I arrived early & as time allowed, they advanced my appointment by 20 minutes. Greatly appreciated. My pulmary testing went very well & when asked if I was close to normal, the tech stated she was not able to say anything. Again, I was appreciative of her professionalism. Good experience.
Hard to reach them by phone. Hardly ever get to see Dr Shetty. Need to have a Portal where you can leave messages for the Dr or Nurse like my regular MD!!
All the staff are professional, courteous, and friendly. They go out of their way to make me feel I am important and genuinely care about my well being.

Dr Sherry was very attentive this visit. He was able to get the Medical Suppler to final move forward on providing equipment he ordered two months ago. He suggested a treatment that should keep me out of hospital.
I FEEL like Dr. Shetty Takes the Time to address all of my concerns Excellent Bedside manner!! Dr. Shetty spent the appropriate amount of time to ensure that I understood everything every step of the way ! My wife was a flight Nurse in Michigan, Retired now and She stated that he's Excellent and I would Absolutely refer to anyone!! Only 4 stars because the person who gave the pulmonary function test had Absolutely NO sense of humor.

Dr Shetty was the the first doctor since I was diagnosed to say “let’s find out what’s causing your pulmonary fibrosis” He has a very good manner. My daughter & I both liked him & feel very confident with his practice. Everyone in his office is nice & professional & you can tell they all really care. I would highly recommend Dr Shetty & his team to anyone.
