About Dr. Rajiv Sood, DO

A native of Jonesboro, Dr. Sood is honored to be able to provide compassionate care for his community. In addition to treating the conditions that cause back, knee, and shoulder pain, including arthritis, Dr. Sood takes care of people who have been involved in an automobile accident, suffered a personal injury, or were injured on the job.

Dr. Sood and the team offer a wide range of specialized diagnostics, such as digital X-rays and diagnostic ultrasounds. They also provide advanced treatments like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and B12 injections.

As specialists in interventional pain management, they offer highly effective pain relief with epidural injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation, to name a few.

After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, Dr. Sood received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Suwanee, Georgia.

He completed a traditional rotating internship at Northside Hospital Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, then finished a primary residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Sood went on to finish his postgraduate training by completing a fellowship in interventional pain and sports medicine at the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, New York.

He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and has a subspecialty certification in pain management.
