He moved back to New York City for his anesthesiology residency at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn and stayed on as chief resident in anesthesiology.
In 2004, Dr. Krishnan completed his fellowship in pain medicine and regional anesthesia at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) in Iowa City, Iowa.
At Island Interventional Pain Management, Dr. Krishnan treats patients with back and neck problems, including sciatica and spinal stenosis. He also specializes in managing challenging pain conditions like complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). Treatments include innovative biologics such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections.
