Always top notch. Our first experience with Select Family Practice was during Covid. My daughter and I had contracted it. Dr Hatefi and his team were great. We were able to see him the next day after thinking we might have CovId. Show moreWithin 12 hours I had my prescriptions and a treatment plan in place. We have since started using Select Family Practice as our primary care provider. Dr. Hatefi and his staff are compassionate and genuinely care about their patients. I have begun referring everyone I know to them. I referred my 79 year old father to them when he and his wife got Covid and they did a tele-visit with them. They had my dad and his wife on a treatment plan in no time. This is after my father went to UNC Healthcare where the medical staff told him that they could not do anything for them and that if their conditioned worsened to go to the emergency room. Unlike UNC, Dr Hatefi and his team were proactive in providing my 79 year old father an aggressive treatment plan for him and his wife. Needless to say he was back to his old self within a week. Dr. Hatefi kept my dad out of the hospital.
After reading the favorable reviews, I made at apt with Reza & I have to say, within a few weeks, I switched to him as my PYP. He and Sallie Course are the best two PYPs I have found in Raleigh area since living here the past 6 yeShow morears. I’ve been dealing with some complex issues and they have been diligent in finding a cause and supporting me throughout. reza and Sallie are thoughtful, well-versed and incredibly compassionate! The entire front desk staff is also amazing- attentive and follows up on every level. They can schedule same day apts w/o issue, which is also a huge plus. I highly recommend this practice!
Mr. Reza Hatefi, PA-C, is a compassionate and experienced physician’s assistant who is fluent in Spanish and Farsi and has been serving patients in and around Raleigh, North Carolina, since 2000. At Select Family Practice, Mr. Hatefi provides attentive, personalized care, taking time to listen to his patients, helping them to improve their overall health and well-being with expert clinical care and lifestyle-management advice.
Mr. Hatefi earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his physician’s assistant training and bachelor’s degree in health science at Methodist College (now Methodist University) in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He’s a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.
Mr. Hatefi provides a comprehensive range of services for patients of all ages, including wellness exams and DOT physicals, pediatric care, sick visits, X-rays, minor surgeries, and acne treatments. He also offers chronic-disease management to help patients regulate and control their symptoms and overall wellness while living with conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

Very down to earth and easy to talk to
It is always pleasure to go for a visit at Select Family and Dr Reza.
Getting care here was a great experience. Reza is excellent and I highly recommend the practice - I’ve always had thorough experiences, and never felt rushed.
Dr.Ray is the best I’m very happy that he is my Dr. he really cares about his patients! Gwen is the best she is the only one that can take my blood without bruising me up.
My wife Kit and I have been devoted patients of Dr. Re since he entered the practice and despite leaving Raleigh and living 200 miles have kept him as our family doctor. Professional, thorough and genuine he is the best doctor we have ever had.

Great place to go if you’re sick or for just a regular check up. The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Doctor raze is the best doctor I have ever had. I was very pleased with how thorough Reza Hatefi was with my exam and also with him ordering X-rays of my lungs! I felt heard and he addressed all my symptoms.
It was great! I called at around 9 AM, they set an appointment for 11:15, I only had to wait a few minutes, they saw me quickly, and it was great. No nonsense.

Reza Hatefi, PA-C It’s very competent and caring physician. He takes his time and explains to his patients everything that’s going on. He’s very good at listening to what our concerns are and trying to not manage the problem but also help correct the issue that started the problem at the beginning. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
