This Robatic hernia repair went well. I was supposed to go home the next day, however, I did see Dr. Gordon the next day, but did not see him again during this stay. I was told they were waiting for increase bowel activity and I Show morewas in the hospital for 4 days ,finally they called & got a discharge order to leave. I saw Dr. Gordon 10/13 and he seemed surprised that I was not D/C the day after surgery.
Greeted nicely by front desk staff. I was taken back before my appointment time. I was seen by nurse, intern and then doctor Gordon. Then surgical coordinator. All gathered information professionally and with a smile. Excellent apShow morepointment. Then only suggestion I would have is for new patients there are too many forms and they are repetitive. Suggest they either email or mail forms ahead of time. Also try not to make them repetitive .
Richard S. Gordon, MD, FACS, FRCSC, FASMBS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in bariatric (weight-loss) surgery, robotic/laparoscopic (or minimally invasive) surgeries, anti-reflux (or hiatal hernia) surgery, and other general surgical procedures. He brings over 16 years of experience to Advanced Surgical Associates of West Florida, with offices in Largo, Clearwater and Trinity, Florida.
Dr. Gordon completed his medical school training at The University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada, followed by his surgical residency and chief resident year at the Ottawa Hospital. He then completed his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Toronto, Canada.

Staff was thorough and knowledgeable in dealing with my health insurance. Doctor Gordon explained the procedure and recovery process perfectly. They gave me a choice of times and locations to have my procedure done. After talking with the doctor and his intern , I knew I had chosen the right team to perform my hernia operation!

The only thing I didn’t like is my bandage should’ve came off in the hospital, but it stayed on for 10 days. It should’ve been taken off and clean before I left the hospital.
