I am 74. I was in an emergency situation that was very very serious! I needed surgery and Doctor Gordon stepped up to the plate. I was in hospital for 10 days with multiple serious issues. Dr Gordon performed two separate complex Show moreissues and followed through till I was discharged. Dr Gordon is very professional with a very caring bed side manor. Dr Gordon’s associate Dr S was also assisting. I highly recommend them. Doctor Gordon truly saved my life and I will eternally be grateful. ❤️❤️❤️

Richard S. Gordon, MD, FACS, FRCSC, FASMBS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in bariatric (weight-loss) surgery, robotic/laparoscopic (or minimally invasive) surgeries, anti-reflux (or hiatal hernia) surgery, and other general surgical procedures. He brings over 16 years of experience to Advanced Surgical Associates of West Florida, with offices in Largo, Clearwater and Trinity, Florida.
Dr. Gordon completed his medical school training at The University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada, followed by his surgical residency and chief resident year at the Ottawa Hospital. He then completed his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Toronto, Canada.
He specializes in minimally-invasive robotic surgery and is a proud member of Tampa Bay Surgical Group, LLC.

Dr. Gordon did a double mastectomy on me 7 yrs ago when I was 66. I was walking around the block a day after surgery and back at the gym several days later. Went to see him today for follow up to get authorization for a scan to make sure cancer not back. He is amazing
