I also want to note the difference between private and non-private practices. In my experience, private practices like Dr. Luka's are more attentive, making you feel valued rather than just another number. In contrast, non-private practices often seem primarily driven by financial considerations, which can detract from the personal care experience. This was our first visit to the office and first experience with food allergy. Dr. Luka was outstanding! He directed his questions to my 10 y.o. daughter who fortunately has a high health literacy for her age. He treated her with Show morerespect, listened intently, asked questions at an age appropriate level and most importantly, did not patronize or speak to her like she was baby. This was a very patient- and family-centered visit, which is how every doctor appointment should be. I could not be happier with our experience with Dr. Luka and highly recommend him not only for his communication and patient education skills but for his obvious knowledge and intellect.

Luka, MD, is a board-certified allergist and immunologist committed to providing the highest quality care to adult and pediatric patients in and around Clark, Garfield, and Clifton, New Jersey. He is committed to providing expert and compassionate care to patients of all ages with allergic and immunologic disorders. Dr. Luka graduated from Boston University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. He remained in Boston to complete his residency in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center before relocating to New Jersey.
Since completing a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr. Luka has maintained an affiliation with the fellowship program. Dr. Luka served as assistant clinical professor of medicine at UMDNJ for more than ten years.

Have been seeing Dr. Luka for years and he is the best doctor; he takes his time going over every aspect of why you’ve come in, how to help, medications, etc. He’s very personable and caring. He has a very nice staff as well.
This doctor and his staff are pure gold! Very hard to come by a physician and office like this. Dr Luka is an excellent listener, awesome at explaining things and takes his time with his patients.
