Words can’t come close to explain how amazing Dr. Strathmann is! I was recommended to him by two of my friends and I am glad I took the recommendations. When I say Dr. Strathmann knows his stuff, he knows it! I had natural labor aShow morend delivery and he made the experience one thousand times better. He was calm and confident, which in fact made me calm and not stress out. He also performed a tubal ligation that i was freaking out about but he just calmed me an assured me everything was going to be ok, and it was. I am grateful for everything Dr. Strathmann has done for my family and I. I am proud to say we have great physicians like Dr. Strathmann in our beautiful Naples!
Wonderful experience, I went to Dr Strathmann's office as a new patient, somewhat nervous about the Mona Lisa procedure, but once I met Dr Strathmann, who is a younger very knowledgeable Dr who really understands the female anatomShow morey better than me, I immediately felt comfortable and his staff is also very friendly. The Mona Lisa procedure last less than 5 minutes and is completely painless. Highly recommend Dr Strathmann, he is compassionate and I left with a feeling that I've just met a Dr who has the best interest of his patients in mind!
Dr. Richard Strathmann joined the team at Women’s Healthcare Physicians of Naples after practicing with the National Health Service Corps for three years in Ferguson, Missouri. He provides the full range of obstetrics and gynecology services to women in the Naples, Florida, area, including in his areas of interest: high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, contraception, menopausal symptoms, and vaginal and vulvar care.
Dr. Strathmann graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Arts from Saint Louis University where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University School of Medicine then went on to complete his internship at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. He returned to St. Louis to finish his residency training at Saint Louis University, then worked and gained three years of OB/GYN experience as a laborist in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Strathmann is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He’s an active staff member at Naples Community Hospital and North Collier Hospital.
Outside of the office and operating room, Dr. Strathmann loves traveling with his family, throwing dinner parties, and singing karaoke.

Dr Strathmann is a phenomenal doctor - who really, truly cares about his patients. I moved 100+ miles away from Naples recently and continue to be one of his patients. He is truly a rare gem and is totally worth the drive to continue being in his care. I greatly appreciate him and his staff.

Doctor Strathmann it’s the best
Dr Strathmann’s exam identified a problem that needed procedure(s) done and he was able to fit in my 2nd procedure within a week. He’s kind, a good listener, answers questions straight-forwardly, provides information to help me make wise decisions.. and his nurse Kenia is just as kind and caring.
Listens very well and doesn’t make you feel hurried. I think he’s very knowledgeable. Very good bedside manner. I’m very happy he is my doctor.
Dr, Strathmann is the Absolute BEST gynecologist I have ever been to. He makes the physicals easy to have done. He listens to what you say and takes the time to explain questions. If you are looking for a new DR. or if you are new to the area. He is an A++++++ in my book.
